Chapter 7

Pony's POV

As Abbie walked down the stairs, I feel my heart slow down, dang. She looks beautiful.

I hug Abbie and kiss her forehead. She hugs me back. She pulls the flower from my tuxedo pocket, that Darry gave me, and smells it.

"That's a nice smelling flower you got there." She says patting my chest.

"Thanks. Darry gave it to me. Said it makes me look 'classy'" I say chuckling.

"Nah, not 'classy' more like snazzy" she says kissing my cheek.

"That's adorable." Kee-Kee gushes.

At homecoming

I pull Abbie with me to dance with me, to my favourite slow song.

"Ponyboy, I don't want to..." She says with a piece of fudge in her hand.

"Pleaaasseee?" I beg putting my hands on her waist.

"You're lucky I love you." She mumbles looping her hands around my neck and putting her head on my chest.

We sway slowly until the song was over. "Pony can you go get me more fudge?" She asks batting her eyelashes at me.

"Fine..." I mumble walking over to the snack table.

"Hey, Pony." Cherry says.

"Hi Cherry." I say looking back at Abbie.

"How have you been?" She asks me.

"Alright, I guess. You?" I say.

"Missing you." She says smashing her lips up against mine.

I try to push her off but she wouldn't budge.

Abbie's POV

"Alright guys. I'm gonna get some fudge and other food." I say to Kee-Kee and Johnny.

"Don't get any punch though. It got spiked by some Socs." Johnny says.

I walk over to the table and see Pony kissing Cherry.

"P-Pony?" I stutter feeling tears fall down my face.

"Abbie, I-It's not what--" Pony says but I leave before he can finish.

I run down to the street my house is on, but stop running because it's raining. I walk into my house and lock the door behind me. I slide down the door and cry into my knees.

Once I'm done with my sobbing party, I put my hair into a messy bun, and put on leggings and a sweater. I go to the store and get a few tubs of chocolate ice cream and a couple of chick flicks. I lay on my pillow scooping ice cream into my mouth and blowing my nose into a tissue. There's a knock on the door so I wrap a blanket around my head and tie it around my body.

"Whaaaattt?" I groan opening the door.

"Are you ok....?" Kee-Kee asks opening her eyes widely at me.

"Peachy." I mumble sarcastically.

"What happened?" She asks closing the door behind her.

"Boys, love, everything." I mumble eating more ice cream.

"Well, I'm sorry what happened," She says yawning, "But I'm tired and we have school tomorrow. So, we need to go to bed."

"No." I mumble.

"Yes." She says grabbing my arms and dragging to my room.

She huffs turning off the light and closing the door. I close my eyes and sigh. It's gonna be a long day tomorrow.

The next day

"Abbie get up." Kee-Kee says knocking on my door.

"I am." I mumble curling the last of my hair. If he's gonna hurt me, I'm gonna show him what he's missing out on.

"Abbie hurry up! Johnny's here." Kee-Kee says.

I slip on my ankle boots and grab my book bag. I skip down the stairs, but I miss one and slide down the stairs on my butt.

"Ow." I state.

"Abbie come in here for a sec." Kee-Kee calls from the dining room.

I see Ponyboy and try to leave but Kee-Kee closes the door and Johnny captures me in his arms and puts me in a chair across from Pony. I look at Kee-Kee with pleading eyes.

A/N: THIS ISN'T THE END OF THIS CHAPTER, UH I DON'T WANT TO WRITE THIS PART ANY MORE. SO BASICALLY, KEE AND JOHNNY HELD ABBIE HOSTAGE UNTIL SHE FORGAVE PONYBOY. SO THEY'RE STILL TOGETHER. :P

At school

Pony hugs me one last time before going into his writing class. I sigh walking past the girl who's name that rhymes with berry. I bump into her friend, Jessica, on accident.

"Watch it, slut." Jessica says pushing me into the lockers.

"You should stop talking about yourself, Jessica. It's not very proper" I sneer at her.

"And how would you know what proper is?" She snaps.

"Jessica, come on." Berry says pulling Jessica away from me.

The bell rings and I speed walk to fifth period.

"Ms. Brett, explain to me why you are late." The teacher asks me.

"Weeeellllll, I uhhh... Got hit with a locker door." I mumble, because I am so terrible at lying.

"See me after class." He states turning back to the chalkboard.

Pony holds my hand under the table and rubs his thumb against the back of my hand. I smile at him.

I get passed a paper. I finish it in about 10 minutes, because I learned about Europe in Colorado.

Pony points to number seven and I giggle. I point to the country and he scribbles it on his paper.

"Class dismissed!" Mr. Rol says and calls me over to his desk.

"I need you to get your grade up. If you don't you'll have to go to summer school." He says showing me my grades.

"You will stay after monday, tuesday, thursday, and friday for the next 6 weeks." He says waving me out of the class room.

I go out into hall and its empty, then I go to my locker and there is a note on it.

Abbie,

Meeting Johnny down at Dairy Queen. Pony wants you to meet him at his house.

I walk down to Pony's house and hear him fighting with Darry.

"You're not going to that rumble. If the fuzz catch you, we aren't gonna have enough money to bail you out!" Darry says loud enough that I can hear.

"I have to though, to get 'em back. For Kee-Kee." Pony says.

I feel my heart beat slow down.

What happened to Kee-Kee?
