I groaned in frustration.
I can’t believe she was going to agree to this. She just can’t do this! I have to talk to her.
I cleared my throat and everyone looked at me “Kennedy can I talk to you in the hallway for a minute please?”
She raised an eyebrow up at me and nodded cautiously. She stood up and followed me out into the hallway.
“Yes?” she asked me clearly confused.
“You can’t just do this! It’s not time yet! And I’m not ready to go out yet, you have to buy me more time” I said to her clearly upset.
“Why?! I have no reason to be stuck in this mess I’m in. I need to focus on my job and everything else” she said running a hand through her tousled hair. She was so cute when she did that. I couldn’t help but lean in and kiss her. I felt her melt into the kiss and put her hands on my shoulders.
She leaned away and looked into my eyes “No matter what you do, I can’t”
“Why?!” I asked her and she just shook her head.
“Harry, you put yourself into this. You’re her boyfriend- not mine. She loves you” she said.
“What and you don’t?!”
She hesitated before answering “I do, but you’re with her. Not me.”
I looked at her “Can’t… we..”
“No Harry, You’re with Kendall” she said and stalked back inside. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair before walking back into the conference room.
“Thank you very much Kendall” Kris said to her giving her a smile and Kennedy gave her a tight smile.
“No problem” she said and then turned to John “Am I done here?”
He nodded “We’ll send you the check tomorrow and thank you Kennedy”
She nodded before leaving, without taking a second glance at me.

I picked at my food on my plate as I heard the excitement chatter around me in the restaurant.
“You okay babe?” Kendall asked me and I looked at her.
“Yeah, I’m fine” I said giving her a reassuring smile. I looked around as saw the paps outside getting a glimpse of us inside the restaurant.
“So Harry” said Kris and I looked at her.
“How do you feel about going public?” she asked me smiling.
“I…uhh….. Am really excited about it. I finally don’t have to hide anymore” I said truthfully.
“Well that’s good to hear!” said Kris and Kendall smiled at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. “Also I think it’d be good if you joined us on our show”
I stopped cold once she asked that.
“I think, you should give us some time mom” said Kendall and I sighed in relief. Now I wasn’t ready for that “But hopefully he’ll warm up to the idea and join us”
I looked at her in surprise. She looked at me and smiled.
I smiled back knowing I couldn’t say anything or I’d be hit in the face with a fork.

“Mom” I whined to my mother and she looked at me.
“Yes, baby?” she said sitting down next to me.
“What do I do?” I asked her and she looked at me in confusion.
“Well, what do you mean?” she said rubbing my back.
I sighed at looked at my feet “Kennedy signed off and now Kendall and I go public tomorrow and now she wants me to join her show and I’m not ready. I like Kendall a lot but, I’m not ready- even if she is”
“Well, look at what you’ve gotten yourself into now” she scolded me and I moaned.
“You’re not helping mum” I groaned and she chuckled.
“Well, maybe Kennedy didn’t want to sign off but she did anyway for the sake of Kendall. I mean I know you really liked her and all but why Kendall? Maybe you like staying out of the spotlight- just lay low and Kendall isn’t that type of girl. She loves the attention and Kennedy is just the opposite” my mum said and I looked at her.
“Kennedy is normal- Kendall is well…. Not really normal- she lives in the spotlight. If you know what truly right, you’d pick the right girl” she said and stood up.
I sighed and thought about what my mum just told me.
