Early starts

*2 weeks passed, during that time his mom had called time on her stay and gone back to Minnesota so she could be there for the anniversary of Ryan's dad's death so for he first time left on a good note, her relationship with both her son and her daughter in law now finally beginning to be rebuilt, now the day had finally arrived, Elise's 2nd birthday, dove ended up waking up at some unearthly hour, she couldn't decide how she felt so she just led there for a while, trying to go back to sleep but finding herself unable to do so, eventually she's twisted and turned so much that at just after half 6 in the morning Ryan was awoken by it*
Ryan: babe what's up?
*his tired and gruff voice concerned about why she was finding it so difficult to sleep*
Dove: nothing, sorry ry
Ryan: how long have you been awake?
Dove: a while
Ryan: why?
Dove: I don't know, I just woke up and couldn't get back to sleep
Ryan: something's gotta be up
Dove: she's two
Ryan: yep
Dove: and tomorrow....
Ryan: I know
Dove: are you okay?
Ryan: yeah, are you?
Dove: yeah
Ryan: it was two whole years ago you brought her into this world
Dove: I don't believe that
Ryan: I know, it's crazy, it feels like just yesterday
Dove: all the problems getting to that day and then that moment where there were no cries
*he now noticed there were a few tears falling down her cheeks, he sat up a bit and pulled her into his arms*
Ryan: but she's okay now and she's turning two today
Dove: there were times when I genuinely didn't think we'd make it here with her
Ryan: a little before you got pregnant I didn't think we'd make it here at all
Dove: what?
Ryan: you know that spell we had where we were fighting loads just before we went on tour?
Dove: yeah
Ryan: I was seriously worried our relationship was just gonna break down, I thought you were gonna call it quits
Dove: really?
Ryan: yeah, that night when you yelled I'm done and then stormed out I thought that was it
Dove: you thought I was ending us?
Ryan: yeah
Dove: oh
Ryan: sorry, kinda a downer on the day
Dove: I'm glad you told me, but I never even considered calling time on our relationship, I couldn't live without you if I tried and I wouldn't want to
Ryan: good because I'm never going anywhere
Dove: I don't want Elise to ever know
Ryan: know what?
Dove: where your father was going when it happened, she'd end up blaming herself when she was older
Ryan: maybe she deserves to know though
Dove: I can barely deal with it, I don't that to be on her conscience because if she's anything like either of us it will be, we both blame ourselves for everything, whether we're at fault or not
Ryan: you're probably right
Dove: god this has been a grim conversation
Ryan: we did a good job you know?
Dove: we did
Ryan: four beautiful children and a good happy marriage, I'm so so thankful for all of you
Dove: and I am for all of you, how did I get so lucky?
Ryan: I've been asking myself the same question about my life for almost 8 years now
Dove: I'm tired
Ryan: maybe you should try this thing called sleeping then
Dove: but that boring
Ryan: you're very difficult sometimes, did you know that?
Dove: oh yeah, a total diva
Ryan: yep
*the smirks were plastered all over their faces as the started using a more adult tone, drawing each other in until they were kissing, it quickly became more, she ended up in top of him while they were making out, what happened next can be left to a person's imagination*
