*after a good afternoon on the beach they came back in and enjoyed their dinner before deciding to have a family movie night*
Dove: we really should do these kinds of things more often, a consistent routine, being more normal, having a plan
Ryan: I know, the twins are getting towards school time
Dove: no, don't even talk about that
Ryan: babe we're gonna have to face it eventually, they're 3 in just over a week
Dove: I can't believe that
Ryan: the day you told me you were pregnant was the best day of my life
Dove: one of the most terrifying days of mine
Ryan: I bet
Dove: alright we need popcorn!
Ryan you go make that while I get the kids to choose a film?
Dove: please don't make me watch frozen again, it got old like 3 years ago
Ryan: I'd say tangled but that's kinda a you and me only movie at this point
Dove: and we watched it last week
Ryan: that too
Dove: now shoo so I can make so much popcorn we will be finishing it for days
Ryan: please don't actually make that much popcorn
Dove: I make no promises
*Ryan's leaves her in the kitchen with the popcorn, hoping she didn't just overflow the house with popcorn, knowing full well she would given half a chance, he went back into the his and her bedroom where they were gonna watch the movie, fully aware they'd probably all end up asleep before the end of the movie except himself, he walked in to find them all on the bed, intently waiting*
Ryan: alright then, let's pick a movie shall we?
*he went into his suitcase which wasn't yet unpacked and got out the films he'd brought with him, putting a specific one at the bottom, he showed the kids all the options and then came to the final one*
Ryan: or, we could watch descendants!
*he made sure to keep his voice low so dove didn't hear him, knowing she'd stop him if she found out before it was already in and ready to play, the kids all got really excited, the two eldest having some idea of the fact their mother was in it*
Ryan: and then we can watch descendants 2 & 3 tomorrow!
*He told them and they all got excited at the idea, Ryan had his secret stash of like every movie dove had ever been in, descendants 1-3, cloud 9, barely lethal etc. he wanted the kids to see it all and know how talented their mother was, of course he intended to keep barely lethal away from them until they were at least teenagers but descendants was one of their favourite movies whether dove tried to stop it or not, them he heard dove coming and knew she'd stop him if she caught him putting it in, he gave the kids the disk and directed them to the open DVD player before heading out into the hallway to distract her long enough for them to figure it out*
Ryan: hey babe!
Dove: you feeling okay?
Ryan: yeah, sure, of course, why wouldn't I be?
Dove: because you're acting like you've completely gone mad
Ryan: oh I did that years ago
Dove: good point
Ryan: I really love you, you know that?
Dove: okay, and I love you too but this is a lot of popcorn so can you move out the way so I can go in and out it down?
*Ryan just suddenly pounced on her, crashing their lips into each other's, they held that for a few moments before pulling away, he pulled a big 'please don't kill me' smile as they heard the music from the main menu on the DVD begin to play*
Dove: they're playing descendants aren't they?
Ryan: maybe
Dove: you came out here to distract me didn't you?
Ryan: it's possible
Dove: god you're such a dork
Ryan: I'm your number one fan, can't help it, loving you just comes easily to me
Dove: you're cute
Ryan: I try
Dove: come on let's go watch this movie
Ryan: well it also means you can take a nap and still know exactly what you've missed
Dove: come on you goofball let's go----------------------------------------------
Thought this up while talking to Lia yesterday, so here it is, hope you like it, sorry it took so long xoxo
