Ch.3 I Get a Good Luck Call From Hell
Madeline. I've just decided that's my favorite name. No particular reason I just like it.
I don't even realize I've been staring until Julie snaps her fingers in front of my face,"Hellooo? Earth to Neptune, what's your deal dude?"

I shake my head and feel my cheeks flush. It's an unfamiliar feeling and I'm not sure I'm a fan,"Nothing, just been a long day." I say very unsurely.

Julie smirks and glances at Madeline whose been silently watching this unfold trying not to laugh,"Riiiight sure. So Madeline could you tell us where we are? It looks like a camp."

She looks at me for a second before answering,"Well you're right, this is Camp Half-Blood and if you can see it for what it is I'm assuming you're demigods as well?"

We both nod in response but Julie's the first to speak,"Yeah, I'm the daughter of Zeus and smooth brain over here is son of Poseidon."

Madeline looks at Julie,"Really? Same here, guess that makes us sisters!"

Julie laughs,"About time I've been stuck with him for the last 3 years."

I laugh sarcastically," Oh Ha Ha. Wait so this is a camp for the children of the gods?"

Madeline nods,"Yeah hence the name Camp HALF-blood. Why?"

I shake my head,"Oh, no reason just making sure I'm all caught up."
Madeline looks at me as if she can tell I'm lying but shrugs,"If you say so, well it's late so I'll have to show you around tomorrow but I can show you where you're gonna be staying."

She turns and starts walking towards the cabins, Julie runs to catch up and they start talking about something I'm not sure what because I'm so preoccupied in my own head. I shouldn't be here, considering my history with the gods I'll be lucky if I don't get smited before getting to the cabins.

I take a deep breath before slowly following them to our temporary home.

We stop in front a short stone cabin.
"This is the Poseidon cabin, this is where you can stay." Madeline states gesturing to the cabin.

I look at Julie,"Where is she going to be staying?"

"She'll be in the Zeus cabin with me." She says pointing at a big marble building that kind of looks like a bank.

"Oh ok, well I guess I'll see y'all in the morning?" I say. Honestly I'm a little nervous, this will be the first night I've ever spent alone in almost 3 years.

Madeline nods,"We'll see you at breakfast in the morning."

Julie shoots me one last look before they both turn around and walk away. I sigh and walk in to the cabin, it's dark so I honestly can't see much but I feel a nice breeze accompanied with the smell of the ocean. I set my stuff on a bunk closest to the window and lay down, although I doubt I'm going to sleep tonight.

<<TIME LAPSE>>

I lay in the bed my hand behind my head. According to my watch it's about 3 am. I sigh. I can't stop thinking. I shouldn't be here, but at the same time I feel like I'm meant to be here, whether for Madeline or some other reason I'm not sure yet but honestly I'm hoping it's the first. I just can't get her out of my head. Ironic that the first girl to ever get me feeling like this, I met while she was holding a sword to my throat ready to kill me.
I sit up on the side of the bed and put my head in my hands,"This is ridiculous."

Mist sprays through the cabin and a small rainbow shines through. I stop and stand up unsure of what to do.

"Do you accept this message, Neptune?" I hear a voice say.

"Uh...sure?" I reply.

An image forms. Its pitch black.

"Hello Neptune." a deep raspy voice says.

I recognize it immediately and chills run down my spine," What do you want, Kronos?"

He laughs although it sounds like something of nightmares rather than joy," Can a Titan not give a good luck call to his favorite agent?"

"Ex." I snap.

"Right sorry." He chuckles.

"What do you want?" I ask again.

He pauses for a moment," To wish you luck."

I stop for a second," Luck for what?"

"You are at a camp of people worshiping the gods you nearly destroyed, imagine what'll happen when they find out, or if the gods find out you're here. And also your quest is coming up soon."

"Shut up, they're not going to find out." I spit out,"And what quest? We just got here?"

"If you say so, and I can't tell you it'll spoil the surprise." He says a hint of amusement in his voice.

I'm about to tell him off when suddenly my head starts throbbing and I fall to ground as everything goes black.
