Ch.2 The Battle of the Beach Cabin

The army of monsters stands there growling and drooling.

There's a horde of hellhounds, An entire legion of empousa, Dracnae, telekhines, and some other monsters I'd never seen before but definitely wanted nowhere near me.

I groan, drop my bag and pull the trident out. Julie drops her bag near mine and pulls out her Damascus sword.

"Man we haven't even had lunch yet." She says to me annoyed.

"Yeah well I'm sure they haven't either so at least we got that going for us." I say with a chuckle.

"Well let's get this over with." She states.

With a nod we charge into the horde. This isn't the first time we've dealt with something like this, so neither of us are worried about it. I grew up fighting so honestly I'm having a blast sending all these beasts back to the pit they came from. A few times I catch myself laughing like a maniac and have to stop myself. At points I can't even see Julie, but I see her fly up into the air then back into the crowd and a few times large bolts of lightning killing dozens of monsters with every strike. 
Eventually we down to the last monster, a single dracnae who looks like she just wants to turn and run.

"Care for the honors?" I ask Julie bowing and gesturing towards the monster.

She looks at me,"Nah I've had my fill, she's all yours."

I smile,"If you insist."

I turn back towards to dracnae, she stares at me scared before shaking her head and charging with what I guess was supposed to be a terrifying scream. With one motion I duck under her sword and plunge the trident into her back and she dissolves into dust.

"Well that was fun, so food now or later?" I ask wiping off my clothes which are now covered in Gods know what.

She shakes her head,"At this point I think it'd be better to just go before more of them show up. Remember what happened in Minnesota?"

I laugh,"Hey in my defense I thought we had at least a few hours and you gotta admit that diners deep fried burger was incredible."

She grabs our bags and tosses mine to me,"Yeah yeah whatever let's just go."
Without another word she shoots off into the air and down the shoreline, I make a surfboard of ice and follow not far behind.

<<TIME LAPSE>>
After traveling the shoreline for about 4 or 5 hours Julie saw some lights a ways inland so we stop on the beach. I lay on the ground and stretch my aching muscles.

Julie falls next to me and groans," Im tired."

I laugh," Same here. Lets find that place you saw, maybe they have some food and a place to crash."

We pick ourselves up and begin to walk away from the shoreline, we come across some cabins, a giant blue house and what kind of looks like a bunch of picnic tables next to a big ass fire.

"Who are you?" I hear a voice growl.

I turn and I'm surprised to see a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes like Julie's pointing a sword directly at my throat. I'm standing there like an idiot for a second before I can pick my jaw up off the floor and answer,"Uhh..My names Neptune and this is my sister Julie, we're just looking for some food and a place to crash. Who are you?"

She looks at me with a stern look for a couple seconds, I'm worried for a second she's going to try and attack but she puts her sword back in its sheath then looks up at me," I'm Madeline."

I know they're short but these are just the beginning chapters. whenever the quest starts then the chapters will get longer.
