Ch.1 Here Comes The Infantry

I stand in the small wooden cabin. I stare out the window, the sun beating down on the trident shaped scar on my right eye.

I shake my head, rearranging my long black hair to protect my scar from the suns powerful rays.

I should say this... Im Neptune. Son of Poseidon and Amphrytite. God turned Demigod. Im 15 years old, about 6', and I've been running for the last few years.

Julie walks into the room bringing me back to Earth with a clearing of her throat. Julie's my cousin but I think of her more as a little sister. She's the daughter of Zeus. 13, 5' 4", has sandy blonde hair and striking blue eyes. We've been traveling around together for about 2 years, just bouncing around from place to place. Whenever something happens or we just get sick of our surroundings, we pack up and go on to the next place.

"I think it's time to move on." She states.

I nod and turn," So, Where you thinking next?"

"Hmm.. I'm thinking someplace nice." She replies sarcastically,"Maybe a mansion on the beach with a hot tub and tons of butlers." Throwing her arms in the arm to emphasis the absurdity of her statement.

I laugh," Ok ok you don't have to be a smartass about it."

She turns around and looks at me,"Oh I'm not being a smartass, that's what I want next. Have you seen this dump we're staying in?"

I look around, although I don't have to she's 100% right. The cabin we were in was rundown to put it nicely, The whole place was covered in dust and dead bugs. Which luckily meant no one had been here in a long time except for us, which made it perfect to hide out in.

"Yeah I'm sure we'll find something like that. Let me just pull out the classifieds and see what kind of mansions are available to 2 teenagers with no records and no money. Im sure they're just dying to sell to us." I say rolling my eyes and grabbing my backpack and my fathers trident (long story).

She stops for a second and crosses her arms before shaking her head and turning back to her bag which is mostly packed with clothes and other essentials,"And you call me a smartass."

After we both finish getting our stuff together we start walking out the door but immediately stop when we see what awaits us.
Our car torn to pieces and a horde of monsters waiting to do the same to us.
