The day that started late was going to end late as well. After breakfast, we went to the park and just walked around. He told me about his childhood and I told him about my fear of elevators as well as some other stuff. I just left out the part about my mom being a CIA agent. That would not go over well if he were to ever meet my parents, and, plus, I wasn't supposed to tell anyone outside the family. Payson, as always, was the exception.
At one point, paparazzi swarmed us. They were so close that Harry had to call his security guard to come help us. The guard, Anderson, showed up and helped us get back to Harry's car and away from the crazy people with cameras. I'm glad it didn't happen until the evening. We were preparing to go to dinner when they showed up, so it didn't completely ruin our outing.
Harry wanted to take me to a fancy dinner tonight, even though I told him that wasn't necessary, that I was fine with something simple. He insisted, though. He said something about how he wants to make this friend-relationship the best that it can be.
I just went with it. I asked him to go back to his flat so I could change. I was in a sundress and sandals, and I didn't think that was appropriate for a fancy dinner.
Now, back at the flat, I pick out a dress that I was going to wear clubbing with Payson, but it will work for tonight. It was a medium purple color and had a black sash and black halter neck. I chose black, strappy heels and some silver earrings to complete the look. My hair was somewhat manageable today, so I brushed it out so the waves that separated nicely.
When I walked into the living area from the bathroom, I saw Harry standing with his back to me, looking out the window. I cleared my throat to get his attention.
As he turned, I took him in. His curls fell softly around his head, and he wore a deep blue, button down shirt with black dress pants. He has those shiny shoes on to match the rest of the outfit.
When he saw me, his eyes went wide. I watched as his orbs started at my feet, grazing over my legs, and stopped idly when he got to my abdomen, then finally, he looked at my face.
"You look so beautiful. I don't know if I should show you off or keep you here, where nobody could feel like I do now looking at you."
"I think you want to show me off. Who wouldn't?" I question back.
"Very true. Let's go."
I get my phone and place it in a black leather clutch along with some make up and perfume.
We walk out the door, hand-in-hand, and this friend-relationship is losing the friend part a lot faster than I had anticipated.
We walked in a comfortable silence for a while, just exchanging glances every now and then. When we got to his Range Rover, he opened my door and helped me up.
"Thank you," I whispered.
He smiled and nodded before walking to his side of the car. It still feels odd to sit on the opposite side of the car and drive on the left side of the road.
Harry started the car and out on some music. Consequentially, a One Direction was just ending. I couldn't help but giggle. I wonder what it's like to hear yourself sing while you're driving?
Before I can ask, the radio announcer starts talking. "That was One Direction with their new song Through the Dark. Now, One Direction is pretty hot right now and every girl wants to date one of the boys," oh no. I know where this is going. "Take Harry for example. This last week we have seen him with a mystery girl everyday. No one seems to know who this girl is,though. If you have any information on this, we will be more than happy to hear from you. Now, next we have Pompeii by Bastille for ya."
