Don't Let Me Go

Harry bounces off the bed and picks up his clothing, putting them on in a blink of an eye. I, on the other hand, just lay there. There is no need to go out there when I'm a guest.

However, when I hear irritated sounding voices, I get curious. Reluctantly, I grab some sweat pants and a t-shirt from the closet, then slowly open the door. The voices are muffled, so I walk further, staying close to the wall. When I reach the music room, the voices become audible, so I ease myself inside, since Harry now keeps it unlocked. I ease myself inside, listening intently to the voices.

"No, absolutely no. She is not going to do that. We have a concert soon, and, if she says it's okay, I'll announce something then. If she doesn't want me to say anything, I won't," this had to be Harry. Only his voice, even when irate and hushed, could make me feel excitement.

"It doesn't matter what you want, Harry. Management has always had the last say in everything we do. You need to talk to her, let her see that you really care for her and that, if you didn't have to, you wouldn't be telling you're relationship status to the world tonight." Says the familiar voice. I think it's Louis.

"Tonight!??! We're about to go to my Mum's house!" Replied Harry.

"You have to cancel, Haz. I'm sorry." Says Louis.

I choose that moment to walk out and show myself to these boys. Louis is standing, arms crossed, just a few feet from the door. Harry is leaning against the wall, in the same stance.

"What's going on?" I ask.

They both look at me, then look at each other, as if to decide who is going to speak. Harry nods.

"Nothing. Don't worry about it."

I hate it when people lie to me, so, when I speak again, my voice tightens and my eyes narrow.

"Harry, don't you lie to me. I know this is something about me and I want to know now."

They both look stunned at my mood change. Louis clears his throat, letting us know he was going to talk.

"Okay, well, eh, here's the deal. We have an "emergency interview" since you have been seen with Harry so often. The world wants to know what is going on, so management is calling us here to be interviewed tonight."

I just stand there, not comprehending what the big deal is.

"Okay? So go to the interview and Harry and I can go tomorrow. No big deal."

Louis shook his head," You don't get it. WE have an interview. As in One Direction plus you, Hadley."

I gasped, realization flooding my face," No! Actually, Hell no! They can't make me do anything!" I scream.

"No, they can't...." Harry chimes in, then trails off.

"But they can make Harry's life living hell if you don't comply. It's honestly fucked up, but they control our lives," Louis informs me.

I don't want Harry getting any sort of punishment for me not being there. I have to do this for him. But what if my parents find out? They think I'm here with Payson. That trader promised to text me if she went home, so when my parents see her, I could have already made an excuse. It's not like they need to know the truth. After weighing my options for a few moments, I peer into the eyes staring me down.

"Fine," is all I say.

"Fine?" The boys question in unison.

"Yes. Fine. We will go do this stupid interview, and I'll answer a few questions. We, Harry, will tell everybody that we are together, then tomorrow, we will head off to see your mum and I'll try to deal with the aftermath with my parents."
