The final bell of the day rang. Soon enough all students were leaving the classrooms and heading off to their respective homes. The hallway was crowded and I could only hear the noise of closing lockers and loud talks. I sighed unhappy. This was suppose to be the part where I went home and do whatever I want BUT ,because of one little paper ball, I won't be able to do that. No. I have to stay here for one more whole class. In silence, staring at Ms. Magnolia pretty face... Oh so pretty.
I closed my locker adjusting my back pack that hang on my shoulder and turned to start walking towards room #101. I've been there before. Twice actually. Once when I got into a big fight with that jerk Daniel for stupid reasons which I do not need to explain and the second time I was caught making out with a girl as we skipped classes. Yeah, shame on us. It was fun though.
I walked through the now empty and long hallway by myself hearing the echo of each step i took. Finally I reached the door. I slowly opened it trying to make as less noise I could. There were people there already. Finn was the first that caught my sight. I felt like showing him the finger but it might just get me to one more class here I sure as hell didn't want that.
I tip-toed to an empty spot far from Finn. I figured it would for the best if we stayed far from each other. We both wanted to go home after all. I let my bag fall on the ground and took a sit on the corner of the small room together with a couple of more unhappy people. Minutes passed and reached the conclusion that this was by far the most boring situation I have ever been and to make things worst, I couldn't scape it, I couldn't run away! All I could do was pray for some goddamn miracle.
And just as I thought that, the door opened again and a tall blond figure walked in.
"Ms. Heavens? Are you aware that you are..." Magnolia trailed off to look at her watch. "Five minutes late?" She continued. I glanced at Brooke, who was looking down at her feet.
"Sorry, I had some female emergency, if you know what I mean." She muttered to Ms. Magnolia. Just as the words came out of Brooke's mouth, Magnolia started to move her body uncomfortably on the chair while clearing her throat.
"Well then. Have a sit now." She told Brooke who now had a sweet and thankful smile on her face. As soon as she turned her back to the monster her smirk was gone and she rolled her eyes. She looked around the classroom and sat on the chair next to mine. Well, it's not like she had a choice, it was the only place left though I rather think she wanted to sit near me.
I need a reason. Any reason to speak to her. Any! I just can't think of one right now. Maybe if I...
Quickly, I moved a my blue pen to the edge of the table.
All I need is to move my arm like this and...
The pen dropped on the floor and started to roll on her direction. It only stopped when it reached Brooke's foot.
"Excuse me." I whispered a little loud so she could hear me. She moved her head to my direction and our eyes locked once more. Excuse me? What am I? 50?
"C-could you get me my pen?" I asked looking down at the small blue object that rested on the floor next to her. She said nothing, just leaned in and grabbed the pen. After she did she reached her arm towards my hand and gave me the pen. She then came closer to me.
"If you wanted to make conversation you could have just said hey." She said chuckling. Fuck, what am I suppose to say now?
"Er-Hum. Hey?" I awkwardly replied. She giggled a little more and moved her body on the chair. She looked at me again.
