Don't Fear The Reaper

I was surrounded by black. Although There were things, creatures, around me, I didn't fear them. I knew they wouldn't hurt me. I was wandering around and taking everything in, it was a dead forest, but it was still alive in its own way, kind of like me. I chuckled darkly.

As I came to a clearing I noticed two giant boulders. One was pitch black while the other one was a pristine white. I stared at them for a moment before deciding to walk closer. As I stepped nearer they began to glow and two figures stepped out. One a mass of white, while the other swathed in black. I tilted my head, not knowing what to think. I was now finally right in front of them.

"What do you choose?" An unknown voice asked. I looked around trying to find the source, but confound nothing.

"What?" I asked. "What do you choose?" It repeated itself. I thought about the question for quite some time. I didn't know the answer. After I spent some time pondering I had finally decided. As I was going to touch the black stone the earth began to shake. I looked around confused as to what was going on. The ground I was standing on split in half causing me to step backwards, away from the stone. I was now closer to the white stone. I tried to reach out and touch it, a new boulder popped out of the earth crust and appeared directly in front of me, startled I accidentally touched it.

As soon as I did I was snapped to somewhere else. Here, there was nothing. It was a barren wasteland. I could hear things going on but I did not know the source. I heard people shouting and machines beeping. After a few minutes of this I felt myself begin to wake up, but something was slipped into my arm and I fell back into the wasteland. Out of frustration I screamed, but nothing came out. It was just silent.

i don't know how long it had been but after awhile I heard people coming into through a door. I heard someone gasp and after awhile I heard an unfamiliar voice say "only one of you may stay with him." Wait. Why would someone be staying with me? I was so confused. I heard two voices say "You stay here with him. we'll go back you a bag." After some shuffling I heard the door click close and the person who remained begin to sob softly.

"Why would you try to leave me Vic? I need you. WE need you." I furrowed my brows who was this? Then all at once everything clicked. That was my brother, Mike, and earlier it was Tony, and Jaime, my boyfriend? Who knows. And then I remembered I had attempted suicide. And obviously failed. And then last but not least, Selena. I broke down into sobs but once again nothing came out.

i was literally trapped inside of my mind. I couldn't do anything about it.

after a while had passed the door once again opened and, I assume, Jaime and Tony walked in. I heard them all exchange a few words and finally their farewells. I heard someone stand next to me and they kissed my forehead. I knew it was Jaime. As he turned away I felt a teardrop fall onto my head. Why did everything have to be so painful?
