" Dear, this is Alrune the wizard, Matthew the swordsman, and Glarald the elven. Each with a special ability to help you, with your journey to fins your father, and to end this barrier between us and the Bartlebies. And bring home Purifier, Heirloom of Truth." Mother says, and I meet the three men, all stood up tall with sophisticated looks.
" We're certainly to blame for allowing Excalibur to be taken," I say as we walk down the hall. " No country could have resisted Bartlebies surprise attack, though. The soldiers fought as best as they could."
" Hmph. Who cares how they fought? The Excalibur was still stolen. Matthew, you sorry excuse for a man. Can't you gaurs a single sword?"Arlune says teasingly at Matthew.
"You would not say that if you knew their strength. There is no trifle." Matthew says as he averts his eyes.
"So you say. Had it been me, there would have been a real fight." Arlune said waving around his staff like a child.
" The hubris of one who was not there!" Matthew said angerly.
" Heh. Go on, bark. No one will ever know how badly you really lost." Arlune said back.
" Why you... The Queen may have placed her trust in you, but that is too far!" Matthew shouted, he grabbed his sword, and in a panic, I intervene. We can't have blood in the castle. Everyone's on the edge already.
" Matthew, calm down. Arlune, you went too far. Matthew fought his hardest I'm sure. It's that cursed lightning magic of Merlin's. Matthew may have stood a chance against the Bartlebies King Otherwise." I said.
" If you expect to fight their king, you have to be ready for Merlin as well. That is no excuse for losing." Arlune says
" All you do is flap your gums! Big words from one who did nothing!" Mathew said back.
" Unlike a knight, I win with words. Or was that too difficult for your slow brain to comprehend?" Arlune said back.
" Why you...!" Matthew shouted back.
" Stop fighting! We are here to get back the sword together!" I yell to stop them again.
" If we don't kill each other first." Glarald finally moves from the sidelines.
"Glarald, help me out here. The elves are a harmonious people. Get some harmony going here..." I said.
" Princess, forgive me but that is for elves only. I do not care for others." Glarald said.
" ... Fine." I sigh.
" Just leave it all to me. I'll get the Excalibur back," Arlune said with a grin.
" I cannot believe I am traveling with such a man..." Matthew said. It's going to be a rocky road ahead... Surrounded by my three occupations, I gaze up at the ceiling.
" What about My friends, they have an Idea what's happening." Going back to the living room Zeke hands me the book that he was talking about, he said it would help on our journey. When we return we decided will use our powers to stop the Bartlebies on our own. I'm on a journey to retake my country's treasure, the Purifier, Heirloom of Truth, three men in tail. Matthew, the knight, Arlune the wizard. Glarald the elf. Together, we will reclaim the sword from the Bartibies wretched hands.
" Pack light, fool. How many horses are you planning to bring?" Arlune asks Matthew in an irritated voice.
" This will not me a short journey. The utmost caution should be taken." Matthew says back.
" What do you even have in that massive pack? Do you have your teddy bear to keep the monsters away, too?" Arlune sais jokingly like usual.
" Arlune! Must you quip about everything!?" Matthew speaks up as he turned to Arlune.
" Oh boy..." Te room we're using to pack, echoes with their constant arguing.
" It will be a miracle if we succeed in our mission," Glarald says under his breath.
" You may be right. We have to work together to do this." I say.
" I thank this calls for some of our leadership skills or royal charisma. Unite them with you, Princess." Glarald says back to me.
"... Alight." It is my duty to retrieve the sword. Keeping my group united is part of that.
"... You've rather grown you know."Glarald says with a big smile. 'Huh?' From my side, Glarald smiles down at me. " You were such a rowdy princess in the forest." He added.
"In the forest?" What is he talking about? Did I meet an elf in the forest? I return his gaze and search my mind. Soon I remember an elven child.
"I do recall meeting an elf in the western forest by a lake when as a child. Were you the one I played with!?"
" You honor me by remembering that, Princess."
" B-b-bute elves live so much longer than humans. Wouldn't you have been a child for hundreds of years ago?" I ask i'm very curious.
" Our adolescences are fairly similar. It is just while you show signs of aging later in life, I will not."
" Really?" I totally thought he was a girl back then, he was so cute. Glarald really grew up.
" Have I grown up so handsome you can't stop staring?" He sais still smiling.
" I-I'm sorry! I was just so shocked by this twist of fate." I can feel the heat fill my cheeks as he studies me.
" What are you flirting for?" Arlune asks as he looks up at us.
" W-we were not! We just learned that we knew each other a long time ago." I say then I cough to clear my thought.
"Huh?" Forgetting the pack he was stuffing, Arlune gets up and approaches us. " What are you talking about?" He glares, and Glarald and I look at each other. It's like he thinks that's a bad thing. Does Arlune dislike elves?
" As a child, I could sneak to the western forest and play by the lake. There I met an elf who became my playmate. We put the clues together and it turns out that was Glarald." I say as Glarald's smile returned.
" We were playmates in childhood," Glarald says.
" ... All you did was play in the forest. How is that worth boasting about?" Arlune asks in a snotty voice.
" He does not appear to like the idea of us being close, Princess," Glarald says, as his smile disappears again.
" I don't care. Just remember this is going to be a hard journey. We should treat the Princess specially. I'll just call you Twindle, not Princess. Well, treat you like one of us to All Right?" Arlune asks when Matthew comes in.
" Manners dictate processes and ladies be treated as such," Matthew says.
" Well be roughing it and attacked by nasty monsters. Is there really room? I'm not about to do it. Got it, Twindle?" Arlune says changing the subject.
