Laney's P.O.V
Hi I'm Laney Andrews I am the adorable bestfriend of Joan. Well that time, me and Joan are texting when someone approached me. He's name is Dereck. Yeah, just listen to his name and you can imagine how charming he was. I was about to meet Joan but he said he's just a newbie here and not familiar to the buildings. I was going to ignore him but he suddenly said that he will treat me every food that I want. I can't ignore that grace!!! So, I just nod at him. I place my phone into my pocket.
I tour guided him around the school campus and decided to have a seat at the bench. Well, I can't deny this but he is fun to be with. We talk about everything. I just Love him! I mean I just love talking to him! nothing serious please. We are talking when my Loveliest Bestfriend came (sarcastic) with Jason...
"Hi Laney, I've been looking for you. And you're just here with a guy.." *she said smiling but I can see she's a little mad at me
I noticed so I asked permission first to Dereck and I grabbed her out.
"What???" *I asked
"You can't believe what happened a while ago.." *She said
"What happened??" *I curiously asked
"It's about Dylan my ex. Remember?" *She said
"Yes, what about him?" *I asked
She summarized every detail and her dumb faces when she was still in the scene. And she asked me immediately about the guy I've been with.
"Oh it's, Dereck my friend." *I said
"Oh, your "friend"??" *She said giving me the disapproving look
"Yes, he is my friend. He's new to this school so he asked me to accompany him." *I explained
Joan just rolled her eyes. If she just wasn't my bestfriend i'd cut her to pieces! And we went back to the bench because Dereck and Jason are waiting for us there.
"Uhmm, so you guy's had a talk??" *I asked
"Yeah, I didn't know that my best bro and Dereck were also friends." *Jason said
"What a small world, huh?" *I said
"Hey, guys! why don't we have lunch together!" *Joan shouted
"That would be a great idea!" *I said
We are on our way to the cafeteria when I realized that Dereck didn't talk that much not like before we are alone together. At first I just thought that it is because he was new to us and he's shy. It is near to eve when we all decided to go home..We are near the bridge when I heard Jason and Joan's conversation.
