Wanting A Happy Ending - Chapter 6

Slowly for the past few weeks Madi's memories seemed to be coming back to her. She would let me take her out, talk to her, and well it felt like a miracle. Maybe somehow our life would end with a happy ending...

"Adrian, I have something to tell you," my mate's sweet voice entered my head.

I raised an eyebrow at her and brought her close to me, "What is it?"

"Something...but first promise me you won't be mad after I tell you," she said toying with my shirt.

Mad? Why would I be mad at her? "Mads I can't promise for something, when I don't know what it is."

"Please just promise me," she pleased giving me her best puppy dog eyes.

I hesitated and nodded. I was useless when she gave me that look, "Fine."

She smiled, took a deep breath, and took my hands in hers, "Okay, for the past little while, everything was a test."

"A test? What do you mean a test?" I asked completely confused.

"I never lost my memory," she spat biting her lips.

I felt my face turn pale, and anger rush up to me, but at the same time I wasn't mad. "B-but Mads, why?"

"I wanted to know what you would do if you had a chance to rewrite history...if you would take it and I wanted to know the truth about the past. About why you tried to push me away. About--"

"But I would've told you! You could've just asked!" I shouted looking at her in disbelief.

"You promised you wouldn't get mad," she whispered looking hurt.

My facial expression softened as I hugged onto her, "I'm sorry. I just- I wasn't expecting- Im just surprised."

She shook her head, "Adrian. I've known you all my life. There would've been no way in hell you would've told me the truth if it wasn't for the accident and the so called memory loss. You would've just brought it to the grave. Anyways I wanted to know what it's like to be loved...by you," she whispered the last part.

"But Mads I've always loved you."

"I know but I wanted to know what you'd be like if you knew I loved you too,"she replied.

By now my heart was pounding against my chest. "Y-y-you love me?" I choked out.

"Of course I do, you idiot," she muttered as she nodded.

I brought her onto my lap and was filled with joy. My wolf howled in happiness, for the closeness of our mate.

Guess a happy ending is what will be given...

She burried her face in the crook of my neck, and breathed in.

Before I could even control my wolf, I felt myself kiss her. About to pull away and apologize, she pulled us closer, and kissed me back. Our first kiss...kinda...if you don't count the one we shared when we were five...

My wolf took full control, and started kissing down her neck, reaching the spot where one day I would mark her...or in his words, like right now. I didn't want to push her though.

I grazed my teeth over the spot, causing her to softly moan. Damn. She tangled her fingers in my hair and pulled my closer. I pulled back and looked at her exposed neck. Tempt.

She smiled softly at me, and the decision was made. I bend my neck and nibbled softly at her neck, then lower...then I bit into her.

She screamed at the sudden pain, but didn't complain. She's mine. She will be mine in every single way, by the end of today.

"Uhh, Aid what happened to Madi?" Bev asked as she placed food on the table.

"She's in my room," I replied casually grabbing a can of coke from the fridge.

"Thought she hated you."

"She did...but no. Not anymore," I said opening the can and taking a sip.

She looked at me in shock then shook her head, "Don't go on, I'd rather not know what happened, but I'm assuming I would know in around 9 months?"

I smirked and nodded.

She rolled her eyes at me and went back to setting up the table.
