It's been about two weeks and I could safely say that Y/N was healing very well. She has been getting stronger every day and now she can walk just fine. However, I have to keep her on antibiotics so her immune systems doesn't act up. Sadly, I figured out that her immune system was failing and that is why she collapsed.
I don't know how it happened unless she had this problem her whole life. But, it just meant I would have to keep a close eye on her.
I walked into my room with a tray that was breakfast as she was in bed sleeping.
"Darling, wake up. I have your breakfast." I whispered to her, sitting next to her on the bed.
I heard her groan but it only made me smile. She looked like an angel when she slept. She was adorable.
"I don't want to wake up."
"But baby you need your strength and you need to take your medicine." I said softly.
I shook her a bit and she opened her eyes and started to sit up.
"You made all of this?"
"Well, I'm not that great of a cook. I have a cook who helps me out but I did put in some effort to help her."
"Still, it looks absolutely wonderful."
I sat the tray on her lap as she started to eat piece by piece.
"Y/N, I want to ask you something."
I watched her look up at me as I knew she was curious to know what I was going to ask.
"Did you know that you had a failing immune system?"
I saw her sigh as I already knew the answer.
"Yes I did, I always had the problem ever since I was young, but I take medicine for it. However, my medicine ran out a couple months ago and my mother thought they were bad for me so she wouldn't let me get anymore. Ever since then I would get sharp pains and I would faint. I never told anyone and I was good at not showing any pain. I thought I was doing fine but I guess that it was getting worse without me knowing."
I shook my head as I was just saddened. How could a parent just not let her child get the medicine she needs just because she has some sort of delusion that the medicine was 'bad' when clearly it was keeping her alive. If I didn't find her at that parking lot, she could have died.
"Baby, don't ever hide your pain from me no matter what it is. I need to know what's wrong so I can take care of you. I can give you whatever you need. I may be a surgeon, but I know a thing or two about the other parts of the body and how to take care of them. You need to be taking these antibiotics and that medicine to help with your immune system. Because if you don't it will eventually attack itself and it will cause you to die." I said to her as I held her hand.
"I'm sorry Michael, I just don't like telling anyone."
"Baby you don't have to apologize, I just want to take care of you. I'm here to take care of you and I always will. Don't worry, I'll get you that medicine."
"You really mean it Michael? Sometimes I don't understand how you could want me even if I am sick and I'm sorry I didn't tell you."
"Sweetheart, I fell in love with the person you are. I don't care if you have a problem with your immune system. I have problems too. I'll tell you if you like me to but I love you for you. I'm glad you told me cause now I can do something about helping you."
I saw her blush but it made her look so cute. I knew she wasn't ready to tell me those words. It may take her a long time because she didn't expect me to fall in love with someone like her since after all she is a minor.
