A week later
"You think Y/N would talk to me if I went to see her in person," she asked Normani as she looked at her phone filled with many texts and calls to Y/N, but nothing from her.
"Probably not. I wouldn't try," she said nonchalantly as she waved Dinah over, "Just come sit with me and your siblings and watch Moana. It's actually really good and I can't believe I didn't watch this sooner."
"Mani..." She whined, "Please give me me a ride."
"Nah," she said completely entranced by the movie, "You got two legs." "Dinah sit down. That girl obviously wants nothing to do with you," Naki said as she rose from her spot to refill the popcorn bowl. "Yeah and besides, there's no better girl than Moana right now," Kamila added.
"Moana!" Seth yelled happily. "Shhh!" Gina, Ammon, and Daniel chided as they continued to watch the movie.
"Yeah Dinah. Sit down, shut up, and watch," Normani persisted. "Maniiiiiii," she whined.
Normani rolled her eyes as she took Gina off her lap and dragged Dinah outside. "Look girl, leave her be. She's obviously going through some things. Let her sort out her priorities, fix things, give her some space."
Dinah narrowed her eyes, "You sound like Y/N."
Normani laughed nervously as she rubbed the base of her neck, "Really? I wouldn't know. Hehe," she tried to play off.
Dinah stepped back and stood back with her mouth agape, "You went to see Y/N!" She exclaimed. "If you hurt her I swear I'll pound your face in," she said as she stepped forward and gripped Normani's shirt. The older girl pried her fingers from the fabric, "First off, just because you know you're scary doesn't mean I'm always gonna be scared of you. Secondly, I didn't touch Y/N. She talked to me, got me to understand things. And what I understand is that your relationships had issues. You need to do your part and compose yourself and allow Y/N to do the same."
"Why can't we be together and fix it like that?" Dinah pouted. "That's not how it works DJ," she solemnly as she shook her head. Her lip began to tremble, "What if I lose her forever Mani? What if we never get back together?"
"That won't happen? Time can do nothing but heal. Trust me," she assured. "I just wan to hear her voice again," she sighed as she pulled out her phone. Normani looked at the phone and shook her head in disagreement, "When you're ready to face reality Dinah, I'll be inside."
Dinah sighed again as she dialed Y/N's number and closed her eyes hoping for a miracle. But with much disappointment it went straight to Voicemail. She trudged her way back inside. Normani noticed the sullen Polynesian and immediately wrapped her arms around her. Dinah snuggled into the older girl's comfort, "I've lost my princess Mani."
"It'll be alright. In the meanwhile come watch this bad ass seafaring Princess, Moana," Normani joked earning a slight chuckle form Dinah, "There's that smile."
The younger clicked her teeth as she wiped her tears away and continued to smile. She and Normani walked over to the couches and joined her siblings to watch the movie. And the Hansen moment was too cute not to take a picture.
...Y/N was doing some preparation for her first day of college with her best friend. "Y/N I'm gonna miss you. Why did we apply to go to different colleges again?" Y/Bff's/N asked. "Because I didn't like your schools and you didn't like mine," Y/N stated matter of factly. "Ok but come on. What's wrong with Cal State?" she replied.
"I'll tell you when you tell me what's wrong with UCLA."
"Ok, forget it. I just wanted to spend the next 4 yeas with my best friend but I guess I'm not chopped liver," she exaggerated, "Ever since that celebrity girlfriend of yours came into the picture I've been forgotten."
"Ex-girlfriend," Y/N stated, "And besides, I didn't ignore you. When I was with Dinah you were in Switzerland. If anything you ignored me while skiing down the Alps."
"Yoooooo, they were pretty freaking amazing tho. Like the Alps has some of the best snow I've ever seen. You should've went when you were in Europe!"
"Lets stop talking about my times in Europe," Y/N said as she rolled her eyes, "Come on help me pack the rest of my clothes."
"Ok, wait I think some one's calling you," Y/Bff's/N said handing Y/N her phone. She took one look at the Caller I.D and threw her phone back on the bed, " I'll call em back later. Come on lets go find some suitcases."
And with that she and her friend left the room in search of suitcases while the phone lay on the bed flashing...
