I stood there for a few minutes, scared. I didn't know if they were watching me or what. Wait. Yes. They were watching me why would a person just dress in all black and just stand in the woods, behind a tree, right outside my window. It made me start to panic, bad. Both my parents are at work and my brothers are at work and college. I'm all alone. With a stranger outside.
I ran as fast as I could to make sure every window was shut and locked and every door was locked. I also shut all the curtains so he couldn't see in. Then, I went in my room and laid under my blanket with my puppy (Rainbow) because honestly I didn't know what to do.
When my parents got home they questioned my about the curtains and windows being shut and locked. I really didn't want to tell them the true reason because they would most likely say I'm stupid and that it was probably just some neighbor walking around. Besides, nothing happened so why make a big deal.
That night at around 2 a.m., Rainbow started barking, loudly, rapidly. It wasn't her "I need to go pee" bark, or her "Oh a cat" bark, but her"Something is wrong" bark. So I instantly went to my window and looked out, silently praying that it was a cat and I misunderstood he bark tone. I looked around and when I did, I saw a person dressed all in black run around the corner. I felt my heartbeat race as I took a breath. I knew what I saw was true, but I kept say to myself,"It was just a dog. It was just a dog and my mind played a trick on me."
