The next morning, I heard Drew coming down the hall. I didn't want him to know Casey was gone yet. He might find her before she gets help. I quickly went out of my room and asked Drew if he could show me what to do next in the garden. Yes, I got him to and now he would not know Casey left... for now. While he was showing me I had so many thoughts of what Casey was doing right now. Was she still at the house? Was she far enough away where Drew couldn't find her? Was help on the way?
"Do you understand?" Drew asked.
I snapped back to reality and said,"Yes sir. Can you get me some water before I start. It's really hot."
"Fine, but don't you dare pull another run away trick again little missy!" Drew said with a weird look on his face.
I gave him a innocent look back,"I won't. I've learned my lesson."
He went inside and I looked around to see if Casey was around. I saw her. Up on the mountain. She was looking down and motioning for me to stay where I was and not to go up to her. I wish she would go get help already. Who knows when Drew is going to put me on my death bed. If I was her, I would be running and wouldn't stop. The longer she hangs around, the better the chance becomes that Drew will find her.
Drew came out and handed me the water. "Thank you!" I said as a took a sip. I got straight to work.
I didn't get any sleep that night. I kept thinking about Casey. I hope she finally left this place. I mean, she is just lowering her chances to getting away safely. Ugh. I am so tired. I have a headache from being in the sun all day. I need some tylenol. I guess I fell asleep because all I remember is waking up. Downstairs. Tied up.
