The next day after breakfast and getting ready, Casey and I had to work in the garden. When he told us I immediately though, " OUTSIDE! ESCAPE!" I was anxious to have a chance to go home. Get back to my life.

Drew gave us gloves and a little shovel. While we were working he sat in a chair and watched. Two thoughts popped into my brain, " Great we are just like slaves." And "How am I going to run free with him watching the whole time."

Drew sat there while we worked for an hour, then he said he was going to get us water. I got so excited but also nervous. Before he went inside he informed us that if we tried anything, we would regret it. I got super nervous, but that wasn't going to stop me.

When he went inside, I whispered to Casey my plan and told her to follow along. She refused. She whispered back," No. Don't. Forget your plan and just get comfortable because this is your new home."

" I miss my family. I can't just forget about them. I can't just be happy that I got kidnapped and have a weirdo who wants me to be his daughter. I'm leaving." I said firmly.

" OK. You can try. You won't succeed but go ahead. Don't complain when you get whats coming. You will regret it." She used a serious but nervous tone.

" Casey, since you won't come with me, I will save you. I will get help. I will send help when I get back to town. Just don't give me up. Don't tell him which way I went." I said dementedly.

I had to leave. Right then. He had to go all the way to the kitchen. I started running down the gravel road. I ran as fast as I could. I kept thinking of how stupid Drew was for just leaving us. I don't know why Casey would stay. I forced myself to stop thinking and focus on my plan.

I ran until finally ,like ten minutes later, I got to a gas station. I knew they would have a phone. I wonder if Drew knew I was gone? He would have came out and noticed by now. I hope he doesn't find me while I'm here.

" Excuse me, may I use your phone?" I asked politely.

" Sure little Darlin'," a guy answered behind the counter.

He took me back to a little room that had a phone in it and a desk. I dialed 9-1-1, but it wouldn't ring. I tried a couple for times, but still no dial tone. I walked out to get the worker to help with the phone.

When I walked out I froze directly in my tracks. No. No. No. It couldn't be. How did he know I was here.

"Oh there is my baby girl!" Drew said to the worker. "We had a little argument so she probably just came to call a friend. Sorry for the bother!"

Oh god. What would he do to me? Would this be my worst decision? Would he kill me? Would he
