(I was thinking that maybe I could start putting songs that you all want to listen to when you read. Just so I don't play anything you all like. So, comment one, I'll listen to it, decide and maybe one of your favorite songs will be on here with a chapter!! Love y'all!.)
Slipping out of unconsciousness, you reach up and rub your eyes, lazily sitting up. You didn't remember falling asleep on the couch, you were too lost in thought. You glance at the clock nearest you.
Shit, you think, I'm late... The clock had read 10:30 a.m. Quickly getting dressed and fixing your hair into a braid, you hurriedly walk out. You jog all the way to work, being you still had no car. When you reach the small building, you're out of breathe and sweating. It was particularly warm today, so you were effected greatly by your jog in the warmth. Judith is already there, so she looks up as the bell on the door jingles. It reminded you of one of those old ass flower shops that had the bells on the door. Only if this damned place was a flower shop, your life could be a hell of a lot better.
"Feeling any better, (Y/N)?" Judith asks. You nod your reply and walk back to your office. You honestly didn't feel like being here but it was probably the only thing you could do to get away from home and your mind.
You take off the Pink jacket you had oddly worn with the bland dark blue attire that was necessary in order to look like a cop. Sighing softly, you sit down at your desk, looking at everything that had been left alone for god knows how long. You internally made a list of what you needed to do for today. Maybe see if you could do something to get your mind busy and let it ease off for a while.

A few hours into your work day, you receive a phone call. Answering, you rest the phone between my head and shoulder.
"Hello?" You ask. All there was is static. Frowning, you ask again. "Uh, hello? Officer (Y/L/N) speaking. Is there something wrong?"
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. You were confused. You shake your head and hang up. That was unprofessional but it you thought it was one of those prank calls again. It sure as heel seemed like it.
