Chapter 22

Kate's POV.

I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing, It's 5 am who's calling?!
It's an unknown number...
I took my phone to the balcony afraid to wake Zayn up and I answered.
"hello?" I said but there was no reply "Anyone there?!" I got no reply so I ended the call
It's probably Jake tryin to scare me or something but I know he can do nothing to harm me and I'll make sure he won't harm Zayn too.
I'm done with that asshole he can't scare me anymore...

I head to the bathroom to get ready for today.
Zayn has an appointment with his doctor today and the doctor will decide whether he'll be able to go to college or no
I did my morning routine and put on a simple outfit.
"Zayn baby...wake up" I whispered kissing his forehead
"yeah...ughh I wanna sleeeep leave me aloone" he groaned
"Get up sleepyhead you have an appointment with your doctor today did you forget?" I said laughing at his morning behavior
"Fiiine" he said getting up
He pecked my lips quickly then he got up to get ready

*Half an hour later*

We were in my car on our way to the hospital
"I guess you're feeling better now, Aren't you gonna tell me what happened?" he was worried I know it I just can't tell him anything now
"Listen Zayn there are a lot of things you don't know about me...about My Past. I promise I'll tell you everything, you deserve to know but I'm not ready to talk about it now" I said
"It's okay you can tell me whenever you're ready just please don't stress yourself over whatever that is...If it happened in the past then just don't think about it. I'm not mad at you for not telling me I understand so please don't feel guilty about it" He said placing his hand on mine
If you only knew Zayn...If you only knew...

15 minutes later we arrived at the hospital's waiting room
"Mr Zayn Malik...The Doctor's ready to see you" the nurse called and we entered to see the doctor
"Hello Mr Zayn I hope you're feeling better" The doctor said shaking Zayn's hand
"Miss Kate please have a seat, I'll  examine Mr Malik's leg first and then we'll talk" the Doctor said and he went to examine Zayn's leg, he was already seated on the bed
A few minutes later the Doctor returned back to his desk
"Mr Malik your leg is in great condition and you can go back to college anytime you want" the doctor smiled
"Thank you so much for everything you've done doctor" I said shaking his hand and we got out of the room
"Zayn you can go to college tomorrow that's greeat!" I said hugging him tight
"Yeah that's amazing...Kate? I wanna try walking without my crutches will you help me?" he said and I know how badly he wanted to get rid of those crutches so I won't argue with him.
"Okay come on" he gave me his crutches and took hold of my arm for support
He started walking slowly then he let go of my hand and started walking on his own
"Great job Zayn!" I encouraged him as he started walking to the car
"Aww" he groaned in pain
"Are you okay?" I quickly moved closer to him and he took hold of my arm for support
"yeah...I guess I'm not ready yet but It's okay" he said feeling a little sad
"It's okay just take your time, Let's get you to the car" I said as I supported him, putting his arm around the back of my neck and we began to walk slowly until we got to the car.
"Now that we're done what would you like to do?" I asked him knowing his answer
"Starbucks?" he said
"Starbucks it is" I said as I pulled out of the parking lot on our way to Starbucks
"Kate"
"Yeah?" I said my eyes glued to the road
"Thank you for always being here for me you're the only one who understands me and the only one who knows how to cheer me up, I love you Kate....more than you can ever imagine" he said kissing my cheek and I blushed
"Love you too Zaynie" I said back

We arrived at starbucks and I went to order our drinks
"Hello Shawn good to see you again" I greeted Shawn
"Look who's here! what can I get you Kate?" he said smiling
"2 Iced Coffees please" I said smiling back
"Coming right up. Is that your boyfriend over there?" He asked
"Yeah I want to introduce you but please don't mention anything about what happened yesterday I don't want him to know anything yet"
"Sure thing, Here are your drinks I'll finish my shift then I'll come say hi"
"Okay, fine by me" I said and I started walking towards the booth were Zayn was seated
"Here ya go"
"Thanks...Who's that guy you were talking to over there?!" he asked in confusion
"Oh you mean Shawn? he's just a friend of mine that I met recently It's nothing to worry about. So what do you wanna do next?"
"Let's just go home and have a peaceful day" he said and I think something's bothering him
"Okay then" I answered and then there was a very awkward silence as we finished our drinks
I saw Shawn coming over so I smiled at him
"Hey Shawn this is Zayn my boyfriend and Zayn this is Shawn" I introduced them as they both shook hands
"Hello nice to meet you" Shawn said
"You too" Zayn said annoyed
"Okay Shawn we should get going see you later" I said saving myself from this awkward moment
"Bye" Shawn said and we left
