At first, the prince's life was ordinary. He grew up in a castle, surrounded by the riches and beauty of the royal family. Bred into a model leader to take the throne when he came of age, learning the ways of his people and their culture; how to be royalty. Though there was an oddness to him as he grew up in the dark walls of their castle; his face too dainty and his mannerisms far from the harshness of his fiend family. He often heard the servants and even his own father comment on how peculiar a child he was, too handsome for their kind but too ugly to belong somewhere else. They weren't wrong; the boy was peculiar, born from a dark secret that had the power to destroy lives. Radian got closer and closer to coming to age, and just as things were ripe and happy- the dirty truth about the young prince's origin reached the king's ever spiteful ears, the potent words casting the prince into a difficult fate. For the odd child was not the King's own flesh and blood, half his mother's Fiend and half some other creature that was surely an enemy of their royal house. Punishment came, in the form of the sword, maiming the prince before he could even understand the sin he had committed by breathing life. By the help of advisers wanting to avoid weakness, none outside the castle know of the bastard prince's bloodline, and the struggle for his place as King has pushed him into his adulthood. Quietly, he was banished until called back, never allowed to see his mother again now a black spot in his families perfect bloodline.

Radian at first seems somewhat distant on first meeting. He doesn't like to get close to people unless he likes them, so usually he's very stoic and calm around those types of people, knowing exactly how polite and proper he should be. It's why he usually gets a reputation for being annoyingly mysterious. But, the real Radian is far from so. He's actually quite awkward and dorky, struggling with getting along with people he takes interest in and isn't the greatest at handling his emotions. His grace can be ruined with a crooked smile and his obviousness for being a hopeless romantic destroys his 'mysterious' charm. He ultimately yearns to earn someone's affection, wanting to take care of someone and make them smile when he can.
