Chloe's POV

"... and this?" She gestured with her hand.

"What? No!"

"Come on, they'll like it." She tried to convince me.

Tina and I were out shopping for something that I could bring to Paul's house. I needed a gift because I couldn't possibly arrive to dinner empty handed so I had asked Tina to help me look for that gift. That, however, turned out to be a bad idea because she was currently holding up some lacy lingerie.

"Come on, it will make his mom feel young again and as for his dad," she smiled mischievously, "let's just say he'll appreciate it."

"Tina, I can't get them lingerie. God, what will they think of me?"

I didn't even know what we were doing in the lingerie section. With me pulling her by the arm, we left the entire shop. The thought of getting them wine crossed my mind but I didn't think it was appropriate, I mean I was only seventeen and bringing them liquor wouldn't exactly pass as the brightest idea. We continued shopping. We went in and out of shops and we still had found nothing fitting.

"Tina, I'm hungry and I'm tired." I whined. Indeed I was hungry and tired - in that order. What? Food came first because it was more important.

"No surprise there, you're always hungry." She was right. I loved food and it loved me.

We headed for the food court and when I took in the delicious smell of food, my stomach was already jumping for joy. We ate and, thereafter, picked our shopping from where we'd left it off and, at about an hour or two later, we gave the whole thing up.

"Tina, we're not getting anywhere with this." I told her as I plumped myself down on a chair. I was exhausted - we both were. "Why don't you just make them dessert or something?"

"Finally, Tina, something conducive comes out of that mouth of yours." She punched me playfully on my arm and I winced exaggeratedly. "Fine, but I need to at least buy his mom some flowers," I added.

We shopped for the ingredients that I'd be needing to make that dessert and, of course, we searched for the flowers. Surprisingly, it only took me a few minutes to find the most perfect flowers for her. I found a burlap wrapped bouquet and I could only hope that she wasn't allergic.

I texted Paul to tell his parents that we'd be bringing dessert because I'd seen that I was getting nowhere with the whole shopping thing

I texted Paul to tell his parents that we'd be bringing dessert because I'd seen that I was getting nowhere with the whole shopping thing.

We went to the apartment and found no one home. That was understandable because Paul had told me that he'd be meeting up with Luke today. In no time, I had already started with mixing the ingredients for the dessert. Tina was helping me around in the kitchen when she asked, "So, when are you going to tell him?"

"Huh?" I was confused.

"Paul. When are you finally going to confess your feelings to him?"

"What are you talking about? I don't have feelings for Paul."
