I followed Rafe back to the graveyard. Nadine stayed at the cathedral.

I just hope that Sam and Nathan isn't here.

"You know, if you wanna go back to your family, I don't mind you leaving." Rafe suddenly said.

"I'd rather be here." I chuckled and looked at him. We had a few mercenaries following us too. Rafe trusted me around guns, he didn't think I would kill him in his sleep. That's weird though. Nathan once told me that he never trust people. Rafe tries to trust people, but they seems to go behind his back. Or maybe his ego always comes in the way.

I've heard stories about him, but the Rafe I've heard about is nothing like the Rafe I've met.

His walkie talkie started to make sounds, which means someone tried to talk to him.

"Rafe? Rafe, come in." It was Nadine.

"I'm at the graveyard. Nadine, they were here." Rafe said back, sounding very frustrated now.

"Yeah, I'm looking at them right now." She responded over the walkie talkie. I'm not even surprised they're in trouble, but I'm worried that Nadine will kill them now.

"What? Where are you?" Rafe said.

"Come back to the cathedral. Follow the holes."

"I'm on my way, and for God's sake, don't shoot them yet." Rafe said and put down the walkie talkie in his pocket.

"Might want to hurry then."

"Come on, Melanie." Rafe said and we headed back to the cathedral. Yes, I'm dead now. So dead.

When we came back to the cathedral, they were gone and I was relieved.

We met Nadine outside.

"Where did they go?" Rafe asked. He was really pissed off now. I was standing behind him.

"The chamber collapsed. It was a trap and they escaped with Victor Sullivans plane. They heading to madagascar. King's Bay to be correct." She answered him.

"Well, then we should be heading there too. Let's go." Rafe said and I followed him as he walked back at their trucks, boats and whatever else they had there. This is not going to end well.

We took a private jet to Madagascar. It was only me, Rafe and Nadine. Plus some mercenaries. The rest of the army was moving the trucks over there, and probably boats too.

I was leaning on Rafes shoulder as I was trying to sleep. He had one of his arms around me and read a newspaper I guess. Old-fashioned, that's what I thought. Nadine was on the seats in front of us, looking out through the small window.

"Are you tired?" Rafe asked me with a soft voice. He put his hand on my forehead to make me look up at him. He looked happy. He didn't smile, I just saw it on his face.

"Yeah, a little." I said och closed my eyes. He placed a kiss on my cheek before removing his hand from my forehead. I buried my face in his neck pit.

"Then sleep. I'll wake you up when we're close." He whispered. I nodded.

To be honest, he smelled good. He didn't wear perfume now, like he did before. It was like his own smell or whatever I should call it. He smelled like a slight odor of the ocean, like saltwater. It was not much, which made it smell even better.

I fell asleep, close to him. I felt safe.

"Wake up, Melanie. We're almost there now." Rafe woke me up by gently shaking me.

I mumbled back , putting my hands over my eyes.

"Hey!" He laughed.

"I had a great dream too." I chuckled.

I finally opened my eyes. I looked over at Nadine but she wasn't in the same seat as she was before I fell asleep. She was talking to some of her men on the other side, at a table.

I didn't bother to ask what was going on. I was too tired.

Sam popped up in my head. I wonder what they think has happened to me. I feel bad for leaving them without a reason, but I did and I can't change it now. It's too late.

We walked off the plane and the hot air grazed my hair. I took a deep breath before opening my eyes. I was stunned by the amazing view I was facing. The nature was extremely beautiful.

"I'm speechless." I said and chuckled. Rafe came up besides me and put his arm around my hips.

"It's beautiful, huh?" He asked me.

"Stunning." I responded.

"Well, I love the view too."

I turned my head to face him and noticed he was staring at me.

"Oh ha ha" I said and pushed him off jokingly. He laughed.

"I'd rather be looking at you than this view at any time." He said, pulling me closer to him with both his hands. I kissed him quickly before responding.

"What about the treasure?" I asked him.

"I doubt the treasure is half as beautiful as you." He answered and kissed me. I put my hands on the back of his neck and slightly hugged him. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black trousers and black boots. Not very colorful but it'll do. He still looks very good in it.
