We entered the huge cave and all I laid eyes on the ship that was further in. I swear, it was made of gold too. But this place, I didn't feel good about it. The feeling was awful.

"Rafe, this place doesn't feel good." I whispered and stopped walking, but he didn't respond. He just kept on walking. I sighed. "Rafe!"

"Huh?" He looked back on me.

"Hello? Did you even hear what I said?" I chuckled.

"Of course." He smiled. I put my head to one side and raised my eyebrows.

"So, what did I say?"

"You, uh, you said that you were hungry?" He shrugged.

"Wow." I laughed.

"No, I didn't listen. I'm sorry." He walked up to me and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He placed his hands on my hips. "What did you say?"

"Just be careful. Avery was paranoid, so I guess that ship is full of traps too."

"I will, okay? Don't worry." We kissed before he let go of me.

Suddenly, a shoreline-boat drove by us and I noticed the driver. Sam. What is he doing?

"He's heading for the ship." I said.

We walked up to Nadine and the mercenaries.

"Sam just stole out goddamn boat. He's headed for Avery's ship. Come on!" Rafe said and grabbed Nadines arm to get going but she doesn't follow.

"Let him. We're done." She responded.

I was standing behind Orca, one of the mercenaries.

"We're done?" Rafe asked.

"Most of my men are dead, Rafe." Nadine explained. "And those who aren't, have already left."

"Can you see that? The end is literally in sight." Rafe shouted.

"That maniac pirate of yours has rigged this entire cave. I'm not setting foot on his ship." She argued.

"Nadine, if you cut and run right now, the loss of all your men, everything that we've done is for nothing." He calmed himself down.

"We have millions in gold right here. I'd say that plus our lives is something."

"No wonder so many of your men abandoned you." Rafe sighed.

"Rafe." I said, he looked at me and I shook my head.

"Excuse me?" Nadine hissed. I sighed.

"We're on the verge," Rafe said, moving his hand in a half circle. "Of making history here, and you're willing to just walk off with a pittance, a fraction of what Sam's gonna get from that boat."

"If he can walk away from that ship alive, he can have it." Nadine raised her voice. "Hell, I'd say he's earned it. God knows you didn't."

I put one of my hands on Orcas arm to alert him to raise his weapon soon.

Rafe hit Nadine.

"Now, look.  We can stand here and insult each other all day, or we can finish what it is that we -" Nadine hit Rafe in the gut before he could finish talking, and slamed him against the wooden ground. She raised her gun against him.

"Oh, we're finishing it all right!" She said, and the mercenaries loaded their guns. Nadine froze.

"Sorry, ma'am." Orca said and I helped Rafe up.

"Yeah. Thing about mercenaries, Nadine. Their loyalty, it's bought, it's not earned." Rafe said. "Now, come on. Either we can finish this thing together, or we can just end it right here."

"Let's go make history." Nadine said and put on a fake a smile.

"Atta girl." Rafe chuckles.

Rafe demonstrated for us to get on the boat.

"By all means." He said to Nadine and coughed to signal that it was still hurting after she hit him.

And we drove off to the ship.
