We got in the middle of the gun fight, but I left Elena and Nathan to deal with it.
My ego draw me somewhere else, and somewhere else is finding Rafe. I have to talk to him. At least now I know, I have the guts to kill anyone in cold blood.
The mercenaries came out from the huge cave entrance so I guess if I follow where they came from, I'll probably find Rafe sooner or later.

As I ran into the cave, I heard people talking in a distance. I followed the sound of voices until I saw mercenaries walking in front of me. I looked further in and saw Nadine.
Rafe must be close.
I took a breath and stood up, and I immediately got the guns pointing at me. I raised my hands to show I have no gun and I won't harm anyone.
Nadine looked over at me.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I'm looking for Rafe. I need to talk to him." I responded and she nodded.
"Follow me." She said and I did.
She led me further into the tunnel.
"I'm sorry for what happened to you." She whispered. I didn't expect her to say that so I was shocked.
"It's okay." I said back.
We turned around a corner and Nadine stopped.
"Over there." She said and pointed forward. I nodded and she walked back to where we came from. I followed the path she pointed out. I could here mumbling and then I saw a small amount of light. And then I saw Rafe, looking at a map I guess.
My heart sank. I had no idea what to say.
I leaned sideways against the stone wall and stared at him, he didn't notice me.
"Hi." I finally said and he flinched, dropping his paper thing. "You busy?"
"Melanie Morgan." He chuckled, turning my way. "Why did you come back?"
"I need to talk to you." No emotions was shown. I acted cold against him.
"About what?"
"Don't be a dick, Rafe. You know what."
I walked towards him and stopped when I was at least 1 meter from him. I glanced over his body.
"You're giving me different signals." He chuckled once again.
"Alright. Let me start." I said, making eye contact with him. "Did you lie to me?"
"You're the one who lied, Melanie, remember?"
I chuckled, shaking my head. I walked closer and I saw him taking a deep breath.
"Did you lie about your feelings? Was it a game to you? Or was it real?"
"Melanie, I -"
"Cut the bullshit, Rafe. I'm tired of playing around. I need the truth. I told you the truth but you don't have the guts to tell me anything."
I was ready to walk away but he grabbed my arm and stopped me.
"Hear me out." He said. I sighed and nodded.
"Go ahead." I said with a cocky tone in my voice.
"I love you, okay? I love you and I had no reason to act like that back there. I was in shock. I thought I could trust you but you lied to me, and then you almost killed you brother."
"If you lie to me.." I whispered.
"I swear, Melanie. I swear to god."
Silence. I felt my heart sink again.
"I need you." I said quietly and he pulled me in for a hug, but I couldn't hug him. I was weak for him. He then let me go to look into my eyes again.
"I won't leave you."
And we kissed passionately.
"So don't." I said afterwards.
"I promise." He mumbled back, with his eyes still closed and I kissed him again.
"Rafe! We know where the treasure is. Let's go!" Nadine commanded over the walkie talkie.
He chuckled.
"Are you coming with me?" He asked.
"I would love to." I smiled and he grabbed my hand. We walked together towards Nadine and then she led us to the treasure. I was happy now, but I had a bad feeling about this place.
And it only got worse when I saw Avery's ship.
