* A/N:
I hope I don't lose interest in writing this book, but I think it'll be good. *

( Outfit for Melanie above )

Nathan was talking to Victor over the walkie talkie. I was standing some feet away with Sam. He was mumbling to himself about something.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

"Huh?" He looked at me. "Yeah, I'm okay."

"What's on your mind? You're so off." I turned around to face him.

"Nothing, it's just... I'm worried about you."

"Why?"

"Because of Rafe. I saw you talking to him and he seems to he fancy you."

"So?" I stepped back.

"He's ruthless, okay? You can't trust him. No one can. I want you to stay away from him, because I don't know what to do if he breaks your heart." Sam said, putting his hand on my shoulder, but I shook it off and just looked at him.

"Are you guys ready to go?" Nathan came up to us.

"Let's go." I said quickly, moving away from Sam. He looked at me disappointed.

***

We headed straight to the graveyard and met some of Nadines men on the way. It wasn't easy to get them out of the way, but we survived.

***
At the graveyard, it took us some time to find the right grave with the right stuff on it.

Crossed cutlasses, skull and crossbones, and the dates 1659 to 1699.

"Guys! I think I found it." Nathan shouted from across the graveyard. I looked at Sam and his face lit up.

We ran to Nathan and check out the grave.

Date? Check.
Crossed swords? Check.

Something odd about the skull though.

"It's like it doesn't belong to the stone." Nathan pointed out.

"It should be facing sideways." Sam said.

"What if.." I said wondering, putting my hand on the skull and turning it to the right. Something clicked and the ground behind the grave turned into stars down to a tunnel.

"Okay, you're a bit smart." Nathan said and punched me gently on my arm. I laughed.

***

We entered the tunnel which led down to a crypt, but we kept following it further down and the tunnel stopped in a room. I noticed Jesus at first, then Dismas and Gestas on each sides of him hanging in stone on the wall.

I walked around it and found a door.

"Boys! There's a door here." I shouted back at them and then I turned around to find some kind of lamp. "And a lamp." I looked around for a minute as Nathan and Sam came to me.

"Maybe there's a treasure behind this door." Sam chuckled.

"Maybe." Nathan responded.

"Hey, smokey. I need your lighter over here." I said to Sam. Nathan laughed.

"That actually hurts my feelings." Sam said, handing me the lighter.

"Not as much as it hurts your lugns." I said and put the lighter on the lamp. I set fire on it and the fire spread across the wall before fading out, leaving 6 spotlights hitting the door.

*** Time Skip ***

There was no treasure behind the door, but it was some kind of map which showed us where to go next. That meant, we had to get closer to the cathedral and towards Rafe. I didn't say it was bad for me, but for Sam and Nathan since Rafe wants them dead.

I guess there's a good thing he fancy me then.

***

As we entered the graveyard again, a bunch of mercenaries circling around. Probably watching out for Rafe and Nadine.

"Shit." I whispered. Sam looked worrying  at me.

"Mel?" He whispered.

"I can handle it. okay? Don't worry." I responded with a smile.

"Here." Nathan said and handed me a gun. "Be careful."

"I will." I tried to hide in the grass on my way over to the other side of the graveyard.

We tried to get their attention from both sides because it would probably be easier if they weren't all over us at the edge.

I didn't notice a guy walking up behind me so I pulled out the gun and shot him which attracted a lot of attention. And the gun fight was on.

***

After killing every mercenary at the graveyard, I found my way back to Sam and Nathan.

"Are you alright?" Sam asked me and hugged me.

"Still breathing." I said and hugged him back. Nathan just smiled at me.

We don't have the best bond ever but it'll do. Sam, on the other hand, is my hero. He has always been there for me and supported me when I needed it. He always make sure that I'm safe and he do anything for me. I would do anything for him. I would die for him if that would be the only thing keeping him alive.

***

There was a lot of Nadines men on our way to the cave. The took them down but I was having a bad feeling about this.

"Wait." I said and both Sam and Nathan stopped and looked back on me.

"What's wrong?" Sam asked taking some steps towards me.

"I.. uh.. Nevermind. I forgot." I said and smiled. They didn't question so we just kept on walking, climbing and all that until we stood infront of the cave.
