My father my dad was DeAndre Void. Yes DeAndre Void the infamous drug dealing kingpin. Mufasa. Big pimp daddy with hoes on his dick. Why Am I Here? Is the question I keep asking myself hoping the answer would change, I knew it wouldn't. But hope is a thing I don't have anymore; hope and my mother.
I looked at the door. I don't even think I was ready for it. I'm not like these hoodrats or anything. I act like I have common sense.
I reached for the door and someone decided to open it instead of letting me open it up.
"We were waiting to see if you was gonna open the door or not. Takin' ya ass forever though smh." This random guy stated whilst opening the door. I was about to bail and start hauling ass.
This guy was cute light skinned he looked mixed as hell with green eyes that just gazed at you and he was pretty tall. He could dress from what I could see he had on some black and gray Vans with a black Neff beanie dark wash Tru Religion Jeans and his shirt was grey and black. He was tall ass fuck though. Either he was tall or I was short and at 5"8 I wasn't short. He looked at about 6"5.
"Are you going to come in or keep checking me out ma?"
My cheeks burned and I could hear snickering. I said nothing to him and walked inside because I was livid. It was disrespectful as hell for DeAndre to keep me waiting but he hasn't been there for me anytime soon so it wasn't surprising or shocking he wasn't there
"I'm going to go get my daughter from the airport so y'all betta behave and make sure the shit is ready." I raised an eyebrow because I didn't know what the fuck was going on.
"DeAndre I'm right here I needed you almost an hour ago so I took a cab because I wasn't trying to get kidnapped because you can't tell time," I snapped. He turned the corner and just stopped to look at me.
"You look exactly like your momma did at your age," I pulled my hair behind my ear, "You have the same nervous habits too. Umm I'm sorry I wasn't there for you." I heard his apology but the sincerity wasn't there with it.
"Okay," was all I could say.
"We obviously need to talk about a lot so I'm gonna show you around the house tomorrow, you must be tired from the flight and everything. Jodi show her to her room." DeAndre spoke and one of the several guys, who I didn't see, appeared and took my bags. "These guys are Jodi, Ant, Malleek, Q, Deray, Isaiah, Malikai, Troy and Munroe."
"Do they live here?"
"Yeah why?"
"Just wonderin'."
"Lil girl don't get no ideas if I catch any guy in your room imma get my 9mm."
"Good then I'll only sleep with girls." I took out my phone.
"What?!!"
"I like boys and girls DeAndre."
He straight faced and just stayed like that. "Did ya momma know?"
"Of course. She even met my girlfriend."
"We gonna have to talk tomorrow cause I dunno how she-." He bit his tongue and stopped speaking. I looked around. "Your room is the first one all the way down the hall."
I walked up the steps and tried to figure out my life right now. My mom just died. I can't see my brother because he's my half brother. He has a different father than I do. Apparently his father is still alive. He's a year ahead of me. I looked at my bedroom it was cute it really was if I was a seven year old girl it would be perfect. I'm 16 I think I deserve a lot better than this.
DeAndre's POV
I stopped in my steps when I heard her voice. She sounded just like her momma her voice was honey filled and velvety when she wanted it to be. I could tell she was nervous and shy but I didn't know what to do. I walked into the livingroom and took a seat as she walked upstairs. Jodi came down and told me she was okay.
