I hung up the phone and sighed, I didn't feel like saying his name or even acknowlegding his presence but I had to do what I had to. Just being cordial with him was what I had to do.
I could hear them stepping down the stairs but all I could think about was my stomach growling and waiting here.
"You ready to go?" He said to me annoying me more.
"Well I'm hungry and I have been waiting -"
"I didn't ask for all of that, all I asked was if you was ready. A simple yes or no would be suffice."
"Whatever man just let's go," I spat out tired of the bullshit of these people, mainly just Jodi.
"Aye you coming?"
"Um no can you like call me a cab," some girl spoke almost tumbling down the stairs.
"Imma be in the car," Jodi looked at me as I spoke.
"Alright," he turned back to her, "Nah shawty I could drop you off wherever you need to go cause we boutta drive out anyways."
"Alright," she said. She is fucking stupid giving her address out to some one night stand but let me mind my business and sip this tea that I don't have right now. Smfh Dumbass People. I strode out the house and opened the car and climbed inside. I shut the door and turned on the car because I had the keys and I waited for him to figure it out.
Jodi walked over and opened the door, "Naomi could you like hop in the back so my-"
"Say no more," I cut him off and climbed in the back seat. What kind of bullshit is this man. I exhaled and laid down I was exhausted and I didn't feel like dealing with anymore of Jodi today.
"You know maybe we should go out sometime for like breakfast," this girl said breaking the awkward silence that had set between the three of us in this car.
"You right," Jodi smiled and dropped her off to wherever she wanted to go. I put my headphones in my ears and closed my eyes. I woke up to hear the car stop.
"Wake up Naomi 'cause we are here." I got up and looked out the window and he was right. Jumping out the car I just stood on my feet. I had half a mind to turn around and start walking to my old house but I wasn't ready to see it, I haven't even started with her funeral plans.
Pushing all that behind me I was ready to knock on the door for it to just be opened up. Cindy stood at the door, smiling so brightly it was blinding my eyes.
"We were waiting for you," she let me and Jodi enter, "JaNiyah is upstairs call her and tell her to come and help in the kitchen." Cindy looked at the expression on my face, "Please just go grab her real quick I don't know what sees been doing up there but lately all she does is lock herself in there. I don't even bother going in there anymore."
I sighed and started my endeavour up these stairs I walked towards JaNiyah's room. I opened the door and just stopped. JaNiyah and that Ganja was making out, I exhaled. "JaNiyah ya mother want you. She's in the kitchen," I left them both stunned and I didn't feel like staying there to hear nothing from anybody mouth.
Jumping down the stairs I stopped in front of Cindy and spoke, "She was busy with Ganja she'll be down in a minute."
"Whatchu mean busy with Ganja, I already told JaNiyah that that girl isn't allowed in my house. I haven't met her, I don't know her parents or where she lives. I don't know if she does drugs or anything like that."
"Cindy breathe," I calmed her down and Jodi came in the house and handed over a bottle.
"Thank you for inviting me to your home I had to jet really quick," he smiled, "this is for you," he handed Cindy a bottle.
