I walked downstairs to have DeAndre giving me orders to do somtething else.
"Go get Jodi."
"He has-" Munroe said as I walked away.
I glared at him then creeped back up the stairs.
I opened the door to see this girl on her knees topping Jodi off and he busted in her face. I covered my mouth and shook my head. They didn't notice me so I started backing away silently.
Panoramic by Sage started playing on my phone and I cursed silently because that shit was loud as fuck. Jodi turned to me and when he did he busted in her face again. I tripped over air and started crawling away embarrassed as fuck. My cheeks were getting hot. I picked up my phone to stop the ringing. Some unknown number was calling me.
I answered, "Hello?"
"Can you hand the phone to DeAndre," my face showed a million words.
I walked down the steps add walked over to DeAndre and said nothing. I gave him the phone and he put it in speakerphone so all the guys could here.
"Hello."
"DeAndre long time no see."
"Ruben?"
"Oh so you you remember me? You locked me in prison and I'm back baby. By the way how's the baby momma? Dead right?"
"Don't."
"Yeah I know don't speak ill of the dead. I know everything and like mother like daughter. Your ex is 6 feet under make sure your daughter is ready to follow up."
"Listen you Son Of A Bitch."
"You took what was precious to me so I'm taking everything from you. I told you not to fuck with me." We heard a click so we knew they hung up on him. DeAndre glared and started pacing.
Jodi walked down the stairs and I just glared at him.
Did that guy just say my mother was murdered? Is that why they wouldn't do a open casket? Who was that guy? My head started hurting. I needed Calvin and my brother. What the fuck was happening?
"Baby girl look at me," DeAndre looked at me.
He just kept talking and moving but I couldn't hear him anymore.
Jodi's POV
She stared into the space around DeAndre.
DeAndre spoke, "Double up guard around corner, spot, and every club. Someone go pack all her stuff. Naomi you can't stay here. It's not safe. I'll let Dallas know where you are but lay low for now. Jodi."
"She can live with me."
She just stared then she opened her mouth, "No."
"No what Naomi," DeAndre asked.
"I don't wanna live with him. I just started to getting used to this place. I already remembered the address and shit."
"Naomi," DeAndre tried to speak.
"No. That bastard said he had my mother killed because of problems he had with you. Her blood was spilled because you put him in jail. I had to sit around missing my mother thinking she passed away in her sleep. Or some other way but she didn't deserve this, just because she used to be associated with you. And if all that isn't enough now he wants to kill me and you want me to run. I don't run, if he wants to kill me I'll load the bullets, aim and pull the trigger myself before I let someone else have the satisfaction of killing me."
"I need you to be safe."
"Really? Because right now DeAndre all I want is my mother to come back and tell me this was a joke and that she was just hiding for me to go get her. I want her to tell me that she was playing and that she wasn't murdered and that she's okay and misses me telling her about classes. I want to see Dallas without bruises or burns. I want him laughing worrying about me pushing guys away from me. I want him to tell me how nor to get attached to hoes and people I sleep with. That's the shit that I lived for and now it's gone."
