Meeting the lions

I walked over to Mrs. Polk's desk. "Hello Tamsin." She said looking me over like I was some sort of bacteria she was examining. "Hello" I said in a small voice. I really didn't like being the center of attention. "Why don't you tell the class about your self then you can go take a seat next to Amanda. I wondered for a moment if they did that on purpose but then i realized that that was the only empty seat in the class. "Okay" I mumbled and slowly walked over to the middle of the room to introduce myself. "Um Hi. My name is Tamsin Greer and i'm from London. Uh I just moved here a little over a week ago and um yeah that's about it." I went to go take my seat next to Amanda. When I took my seat Amanda leaned over to me. "Don't worry she's like that to everyone." I smiled as a thank you. The rest of class was super slow and boring. Social Studies was my least favorite subject back home and was one of the many classes that I would just skip all together. 

When the bell finally did ring I was walking out the door when I felt someone grab my arm to pull me back. My fight or flight instincts kicked in and I soon had the person pinned against the lockers. "Ah! Tamsin chill it's just me!" Amanda said sounding a little scared. "Oh Sorry" I said. I have to admit it did feel pretty good to have her this close to me. "Um Tamsin can you let me go now your hurting me." Amanda said breaking me out of my thoughts "Oh Shit sorry" I said instantly letting her go. "Damn your pretty strong for a girl" She said rubbing her wrist. "Yeah um sorry" I said feeling the start of a blush creep to my cheeks. "It's fine" Amanda said lightly laughing. She had one of the cutest laughs i'd ever heard and i instantly wanted to here it again. "So ah what did you want?" I asked "Well lunch is second bell and last time i checked you agreed to sit with me and my friends today. That and i'm pretty sure you don't know how to get there." She said with smile.  "Oh yeah sorry I forgot." "It's fine lets go." We walked to the lunch room with little conversation. The occasional person would say hello to Amanda but no one really gave any attention to me. But I was fine with it I wasn't the type of person to have many friends anyways.

When we got to the Lunch room Amanda and I got our food before going to sit down at a table with an equal amount of boys and girls. "Hey Amanda!" a short girl with long blonde hair said. "Hey Liv ." Amanda responded. "Who's your new friend?" Oh um this is Tamsin she just moved here from London." "Ohhh I love British accents ." I just gave her a shy smile and sat down next to Amanda and some medium sized chick that I remembered from my Social Studies class. I think her name was Sammy but I wasn't sure.  "So guys this is Tamsin she's knew here and will be sitting with us from now on." Amanda stated in a tone that said it wasn't up for discussion. I gave her a grateful smile before turning my attention to the small amount of food on my lunch tray. I think I sat there for a total of 75 seconds before a tall guy with shaggy blonde hair came up behind me "Hey move your fat ass" he said in a rude voice. In an instant Amanda was out of her seat yelling at him. "Finn what the hell is wrong with you? What makes you think it's okay to say that to someone?" "She....she was in my seat." Finn said his voice full shame "I don't give a flying fuck if it's your seat you can not just say that to someone." I couldn't help but laugh at his look of shock and a little bit of.....fear i wasn't sure. 

Finn slowly made his way back to the other side of the table but not before giving Amanda an angry look. Everyone kind of just sat in silence until the girl next me, Sammy,  spoke up.  " Hey Liv do you have the science homework?" "Yeah I do but i'm not gonna give it to you." Liv said with an evil smirk.  "What why not I always give you the math homework!" "Because of last night." Sammy instantly blushed a unholy red. The rest of the table burst into laughter but I was still trying to figure out  what was so funny. I didn't have to wait long because Amanda said "Oh my god guys keep your lesbian affairs to your self please" she said with mock disgust but laughs. "Liv! You said you weren't gonna tell anyone and it was one time!" Sammy said still as red as a tomato "Aww babe i'm sorry but if were being honest i didn't tell anyone I just brought up the fact you squirt all over me." Liv fake gasps and brings her hand over her mouth "Oh no i'm so sorry Sam it just slipped out ." The entire table erupted into laughter I even cracked a smile but I wasn't really paying attention because I was caught up in Amanda's laugh and her smile and the way her eyes soft of squint went she laughs really hard. God dammit Tamsin what's the number one rule? Never fall for a straight girl, especially one with blond hair with pink tips, blue eyes and a face that could turn a gay man straight.  I was broken out of my haze of all things Amanda when Sammy suddenly  got up "You know what Liv I hope you choke and don't expect anything for the next two months " she then turned on her heal and walked away. Liv's smile instantly turned into a look of fear and suddenly she jumped up to go after her angry girlfriend. "Sam.. Sam you don't mean that you would be punishing yourself to!" The rest of the table burst into laughter as a they watched Liv run off. "Well.." I Said as I turned to face Amanda,  "There an interesting couple." Amanda laughed again and for a minuet it was just us. "Yeah Liv does like to mess with her but under all those jokes and playful banter theirs nothing Liv wouldn't do for that girl. I swear shes gonna marry her one day." I smiled knowing Amanda was genuinely happy for her friend. 

Maybe I actually had a chance with her. Just then the bell rang signaling that lunch was over suddenly Amanda jumped up. "Come on Tamsin lets go." I got up just as Finn made his way over to us 'hey babe i'm sorry if i hurt you friends feelings I know it was wrong of me to say that forgive me?" "Finn i'm not the one you should be apologizing to." I think Finn apologized to me after that it was a fake one I couldn't tell, I didnt do anything I was to busy processing what i had just heard. Babe? he had called her babe Finn and Amanda were dating. What was I saying of course Amanda and Finn were dating it only makes sense most popular guy in school was dating the most popular girl i school. So much for having a chance.

Hey guys i'm back sorry for the slow update i know it's long over due. I hope you all are doing good. I'm going to update into the woods soon so if any of you read that then don't worry ill have an update hopefully up sometime this week but I don't know for sure but I will try my hardest. Sorry for any spelling mistakes i'm in a little bit of a rush so I don't have time to prof read. Anyway my lovely readers i hope you all are doing well.
