Weeks passed as you and The Joker took time off from crime to organize what would become the most elaborate, treacherous, and vicious plan to ever be executed in history. This wasn't necessarily about revenge or triumph, it was the game. It was about bringing down the hammer on the wall that divided chaos and order. It was the disruption of peace.
"They're rookies who haven't pulled off big heists before, but that means they're easy to agree to the terms, especially when it comes to money," you explained. "It's going to be ruthless when they try to kill each other for the shares."
"We're going to need something a little bigger than a van for the money," Joker added as he squinted at the map. "Around that time is when schools let out. If we get a bus, it'll blend in and we could easily get away."
You stretched as you shifted in the chair across from Joker. "Definitely. We have the other guys already prepped, so we can get a driver and kill them afterwards."
Joker smiled at that and folded the map to leave in the drawer of his desk. You stood and dialed a few different numbers to ensure the ultimate success of phase one. You and Joker were robbing a mob bank that was owned by the top mobsters, including the person in charge of it--Lau. But in the case of sending a message and making sure everything goes off without a hitch, Joker "hired" specially trained men to take out the alarms, break into the vault, etc.
You departed from The Joker to change into more appropriate clothing that didn't give away who either of you really were as you would be masked during the heist. If the men knew The Joker was there or recognized who you were, questions would fly and they would most-likely target both of you in fear of getting taken out first, even if it wasn't exactly common knowledge that you were working with Joker or that a twisted relationship had formed.
"Oh my God," you gasped once you caught sight of Joker's attire.
He was wearing a black blazer with matching pants and a light blue collared dress shirt printed with lines and shapes. His make-up was redone and hair was combed instead of its usual unruly nature, and his hands were covered by black gloves instead of purple. He looked a lot slimmer in this light-weight outfit instead of the many layers and it took you a second to process how different he appeared altogether.
"Your mouth's open," Joker said smugly.
"Well, I didn't expect you to even own anything remotely stylish, so I'm shocked," you shot back defensively.
"Then why are you biting your lip now?" he challenged.
You coughed away the conversation and ushered Joker downstairs where he slung a blue bag filled with grenades and guns over his shoulder, accompanied by the clown masks you would all wear. You waved off the henchmen as you and Joker left the warehouse to meet up with two guys who would be driving.
"I've never robbed a bank--a mob bank nonetheless--so if I get shot or arrested, I'm going to kill you," you warned half-heartedly as you made it into Gotham's bright part of town where people were too busy hurrying to question The Joker's make-up or be scared.
"Our plans are foolproof," Joker responded. "There's no reason for anything to go out of the designated area of what we expect. Like the guys should be disabling the bank's alarm as we speak."
You agreed and made it to the corner where the two guys would meet you. After standing for barely a good ten minutes, a car pulled up and the two of you slipped on your masks. Joker yanked open the door and allowed you to slide in first with him following before the car took off down the street.
"Four of a kind," the driver said through his own clown mask.
"That's it? Four guys?" the passenger questioned, also wearing one.
