Peyton's P. O. V.
Hi, My name is Peyton Marie ________.
I didn't put my last name, you have to read my story to find that out. But anyways, this is my life story.

To start off, I'm 5 years old, I have dirty blond hair, and bright blue eyes. I live in San Francisco, California.

I wake up, shivering, remembering the events from the night before. Bruises covered my body. How could anyone treat an 5 year old this way? I'm only 5, and I don't understand what my parents do to make them so psycho, but I'd really wish someone would save me.

I walk downstairs to find both my parents passed out on the floor. I don't know what to do about it. So I grab my books and a granola bar and head to school.

I only have 2 friends at school. Brody and Bella, they're twins, and the only people who don't think I'm weird.
"Hey Peyton!" The twins yell from across the playground.
"Hi," I mumble as I walk by them, straight to the computer lab.

I'm to sore and broken to talk today. The computer lab is the only place where I can be happy, all by myself.
I log in to the computer and go to Netflix. My teacher, Ms. Brown gave me her password so I could watch things while she waits to take me home everyday.

I instantly click on my all time favorite show, Liv and Maddie! Liv and Maddie is the only thing that makes me smile, well besides the twins, but anyways. I love that show. More importantly, I LOVE Dove Cameron. She is like my lantern, in a world gone dark. I don't know what would happen to me if Ms. Brown wouldn't have showed this miracle of a show to me.

The bell rings and I rush to class. My day is better now. I just watched the episode where Liv had to sing a weird song about Frozen Yogurt. I run across the corridor to room B14, Ms. Brown's room. I make it just in time.

The rest of the day goes by slowly, and I don't talk to the twins because they left early for a dentist appointment. But after school I go back to the computer lab, to watch more of Liv and Maddie. I watch an episode with Ryan McCartan in it. I love him and Dove's chemistry. I wish my parents were that happy. Maybe then they would leave me alone.

Slowly I fall asleep. It's only an hour before Ms. Brown walks into the lab,
"Peyt, sweetheart, I know you don't want to, but I have to take you home now." But I'm to tired to get up. She carries me to her car and drops me off at home.

I sneak to the basement, there is a small closet down there that I sleep in when I don't want my parents to find me. But they found me this time. And my dad was crazy and angry, and beat me up, just like my mother did last night.

I wake up in the small closet, crying and in pain. I know Ms. Brown will be here soon to take me to my soccer game, thank goodness it's Saturday. I get on my pretty, purple Jersey and sneak out of the house and into Ms. Brown's car. I like her, she always notices the bruises and scars, but never asks me about them, I don't like talking about them.

My soccer game was fun. We won 4-2. Ms. Brown loaded me into her car and drove me to McDonald's. She told me she had great news for me. I sit and eat my Happy Meal, and she gets ready to tell me some awesome news, "OK Peyt. Don't freak out, but I bought you tickets to the Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan Concert!" I can't breath. My dreams have come true! Maybe I might actually get to meet Dove!

I can't believe she did this! She is the best teacher any girl could ask for!
"But wait, that's not all! I won a contest that gets you a limo ride to the concert, with Dove and Ryan!"
I can't help but leap out of my chair and run into her arms. I cry and cry for about 10 minutes.

She takes me home and tells me to pack my stuff. She is taking me for the night because the concert is tomorrow. I don't have much. Just 3 shirts, 2 pairs of ripped up jeans, and a pair of torn up shoes. I grab my stuff and escape from my parents house, luckily they were out.

When we arrive at Ms. Brown's house it is like a second home. I have slept there many times before. Usually when she finds me at the market all by myself, late at night. But I always sleep in her big bed with her. She makes me feel safe.

I cry myself to sleep that night, scared of what my parents will do if they find out about the concert, but Ms. Brown soothes me and makes me feel a little better.

Suddenly, I am back at home. This time my parents caught me, and they have really sharp, pointy things in their hands, and then, I scream.

I wake up, next to Ms. Brown, I'm screaming, crying, and have beads of sweat covering my forehead. She wakes up seconds later, worried, and looks around to find me curled up in a ball, crying.

"P," she touches my arm and I flinch away. "P, baby, tell me what's wrong. What happened P?"
"They... They..." I couldn't speak. They wouldn't actually do that to me, would they?
"P, what did they do?" Ms. Brown asked, as she rubbed my back to calm me down.
"They.. they were walking to me, with pointy things in their hands," I spit out through choppy breaths.
"It's ok. P, look at me. Look at me," she said, as she lifted my sobbing face so she I could see her face. "I will not let them come near you anymore OK? OK? You are fine. I've got you OK? I've got you," she said, pulling me close and soothing me back to sleep until the morning.
