Chapter 15

Time Jump: 1 week; May 9, 2016
Dove's P. O. V.
It's been a week since Ry left. We FaceTime every night before I put P to bed. But I feel bad because it's usually about 11 pm in Ontario.

P's only slept in her bed by herself once since we moved her into her own room. She misses Ryan so much, but her face lights up whenever we FaceTime.

We woke up this morning in her bed again. She still hasn't eaten much. But she's been making friends when we go to the park, so at least she's not lonely.

Tomorrow is her birthday. She doesn't seem very excited though. I guess it's probably because she's never really had a good birthday before. That's why I'm determined to make this the best birthday ever.

I sit her down in front of the TV with a couple do her toys and her blanket. I cup up some fruit for her and went upstairs.

I have an amazing surprise for her tonight. I go upstairs and pack our bags. I can't wait to tell her.

Ryan's P. O. V.
I miss Dove and Peyton like crazy. We FaceTime every night and I tuck P in. I feel bad when Dove tells me P isn't really excited for her birthday.

But when Dove tells me her plan to make P's birthday amazing, I can't wait. It's such a great idea. I can't wait for P to find out about it. I hope she's as excited as Dove and I are.

Peyton's P. O. V.
I really really miss my dad. But I see him on my mom's phone every night when I go to bed. But I wish he was going to be here from my birthday.

But birthdays for me aren't really special. To me it was always just another year all by myself. My parents were always worse to me on my birthday, because it always the day they hate me most because I ruined their life.

My mom has been acting weird lately. She seems super excited about my birthday. But maybe this year I should look forward to my birthday. I know my old parents can't hurt me anymore.

I know my mom is going to make this the best birthday ever. And I really hope I get to talk to my daddy tomorrow. Maybe we can have a mini party over the phone.

It won't be a regular party but it's better than anything I've ever had. I just sit and watch a bunch of the shows and movies my mom is in. I love watching her on TV.

But after a couple hours of playing with barbies and watching TV I fall asleep on the floor in front of the tv.

Dove's P. O. V.
I finish packing and walk downstairs to check on P. I laugh when I see her on the floor in front of the TV, watching Descendants. I pick her up and take her upstairs, I lay her in her bed and let her rest for a while. She'll need it for tonight.

It's only 2 when I put her to bed. She sleeps for another hour. When she gets up I make her some noodle soup. We go to the park. She plays with a couple of her friends. We head home around 4.

Once I clean her up we head to the mall. I want to get her a special outfit for later. We get to the mall around 5:15 ish. Out flight leaves at 8. I buy her an adorable outfit, complete with a short dress, bright leggings, and adorable shoes.

Our flight leaves at 8:30 and we're about 45 minutes away from the airport. Good thing I put our bags in the trunk earlier.

I change her into the new outfit when we get to the car. She still hasn't caught on yet. But she gets excited when we get to the airport and I tell her we're going somewhere special.

We still have an hour before the plane ride. We sit and I braid her hair and read her some books. She falls asleep and I carry her onto the plane. I see a flash from the paparazzi behind us, thank God that she's asleep.

She sleeps for most of the flight. But while she sleeps I realize that she actually sleeps a lot. I don't see any problem with it yet, but it makes me a little nervous.

We land in Ontario around midnight. P still doesn't realize where we are but she is dead tired. We get our bags and I hold her until our car pulls up. I can't wait to see her reaction when he gets out of the car. I try to wake her up just a little bit so she isn't too tired when she sees him.
