Chapter 17

Peyton's P. O. V. 

It's my birthday! I'm officially 6 years old! My mommy made me take a bath this morning, but it's ok. My dad brought back pancakes, bacon, eggs, and fruit. I'm not very hungry, but I eat a little because my mom said I have too or else we can't go have fun today. 

Mommy gets me dressed in a super cute dress and she curls my hair again. She and daddy get dressed and we take a picture before leaving the hotel. (Outfit above Title)

Mommy and daddy rented a pink car for my birthday so we can drive around the city and explore. Inside the limo there is candy and juice and glittery lights. I love it! After driving for a while, we arrive at a really confusing looking place. I'm not quite sure what it is. Mommy tells me that it is an aquarium, but I've never been to an aquarium before, so I'm a little scared.

Dove's P. O. V. 

Peyton is so excited about her birthday. But she still is barely eating. I get her to eat a little this morning. I told her we can't leave until she eats, and that we have very important plans. After breakfast I get her dressed in an adorable denim dress and curl her hair. Ryan and I get dressed and take a picture with P before we head out. 

When we walk outside Peyton is shocked. She sees the pink limo and freaks out, in a good way. She is so excited when we get inside the car, she sees the candy, and juice and sparkly lights. But I feel bad because she can only have like 1 piece of candy before her stomach starts to hurt.

We pull up to the aquarium and P looks a little concerned, but once we told her that it was an aquarium and she would get to see a bunch of cool fish, she got pretty excited. The aquarium was closed so we had it to ourselves. She was so excited when she saw the fish in the huge tanks.

She ran around and found so many different fish. Somehow she knew a whole bunch of types of fish. I can't believe how smart she is! She knows way more types of fish than Ry and I do. She runs around and finds Nemo and Dory, and a whole bunch of cool fish. We are there for about another hour and then it is time for our next surprise.

We get back into the pink limo and P goes on and on about fish. I'm so happy she loved the aquarium. But hopefully she'll like this next place too. When we pull up to Canada Wonderland she starts jumping up and down. She is so cute. She is even more excited than she was when we got to the aquarium.

Ryan's P. O. V. 

Peyton was so cute at the aquarium. She was running around naming all the fish and laughing the whole time. She was even more excited when we got to the amusement park. There was a bunch of rides for littler kids. Peyton loved most of them, and some others scared the crap out of her. I love how happy she is. She makes Dove and I hold her hands and swing her all throughout the park. 

We rode a couple more rides and decided to take P somewhere for lunch. We go to Red Robin, which isn't fancy by any means, but P loves it. She actually eats more than usual. She gets a strawberry-banana smoothie and loves it. After lunch we go back to the hotel and take a nap. We sleep for about 2 hours until like 3:30. 

We all get on our swim suits and walk down to the hotel pool. But we come upon a tiny problem. Peyton does not know how to swim. It's not her fault, she just never was taught to swim. So we got her some floaties and attempted to teach her how to swim. She was pretty willing, and she tried really hard, and she swam by herself a couple times. But she would get really frustrated when she couldn't. After a while of trying to teach P how to swim, we get some pool toys and just play in the pool, as a family. 

Around 6 we head back up to the room and Dove gives P another bath. While they are busy I call the lobby and tell them to bring up the cake we ordered. Dove sets P on the bed while she goes to shower. The small kitchen in our room is pretty secluded from the bed so we hide her cake in the cupboard.

When Dove is done showering it's my turn. When I get out I see Dove and Peyton asleep on the bed. I wake them up and tell them it's time for dinner. We decided to order room service because it's already 7 and we were all really tired anyways. Peyton gives a little fight on eating dinner but Dove performs her dinner time magic, and somehow gets her to eat. 

After dinner I open up our closet to reveal the stacks of presents Dove and I had bought for P. I mean technically I bought them, but Dove told me what to buy. Peyton giggles and runs back to us and we all have a group hug. She opens each box. Some revealing cute outfits, toys, pictures of us as a family, and finally, a big art kit. It's filled with markers, crayons, colored pencils, you name it, it's probably in there. We knew how much she liked drawing and coloring, plus it gives her something to do when she's bored or sick.

After presents, I bring out the cake. Peyton is so excited. Even though she can only have a tiny piece. I light the candles and we tell her to make a wish. She closes her eyes and blows out the candles. We all eat only a little cake. But It was a small cake anyways, it's just for the 3 of us. After cake we are all exhausted. We all get in our PJ's and crawl into bed. Peyton gives us both big hugs and kisses, before falling asleep between us. I have to say, this was by far, one of the best days I've had.
