Lu sat at their normal table looking over the city with a glass of god knows what in her hand. She had been waiting for everyone for over  twenty  minutes and Mark,  the bar tender kept on sending her tonic drinks.

She let afro hair was let out today to busk in it's glory. A mane that she loved untamed.

She pulled on her sweater close to her as if preparing for the cold night. Her blue skinny jeans and matching heels didn't hide that she was up to date with all the latest fashion trends.

She looked at the cars outside and loved the way they seemed to be struggling to make a move in traffic. Calmness overwhelmed her she she saw a door of a taxi open revealing a very stressed out Angie.

She slammed the door of the taxi before shouting harsh full words to the poor old Indian guy. We now know who not to mess with.

A smile crept on Lu's face when Angie walked in the tinny bar that they called their home every Friday for four hours.

"What did he do?"

"He over charged me. Imagine from the court house to here is supposed  to be 500 but he asked for 1000. That's double." Angie placed her huge court bag on the empty seat before sliding in the booth.

Her navy blue skirt suit didn't hide so much that she took care of her body. Her legs, her legs were what men wanted and no one could resist her when she wore skirts suits and she loved the attention that came with it.

She untied her black hair that was tied in a slick bun and let it fall on her shoulders. She closed her eyes loving the feeling of being off work.

"What are you drinking?" Angie pointed at her tinny glass.

"Something from Jamaica, its tonic though. I haven't gotten to the good stuff."

"How far are they?" Angie asked Lu while pointing at the bar tender to get her what Lu was having.

"Shouldn't you be asking how long I have been here."

"I know, twenty minutes."

Lu sighed in defeat, there was no arguing with Angie, it was the lawyer in her. "Cylia went over to pick Jess and Phinnie."

"I know all that, I just wanted to know how far they are." She took a sip of her drink.

"Why don't you ask them." Lu pulled her phone on the table and passed it to Angie.

Just then the door opened revealing the trio that missed from the booth.

Cylia was still in her work clothes, a black coprate dress with a matching jacket and shoes. If you looked closely you'd think she was from a funeral. Lu has been on her case to stop with the black but what can you do when you are talking to a CEO of her own food company. Her braids were tied neatly falling to her back.

Jess was between Cylia and Phinnie looking like a mess. Her puffy red eyes didn't hide the fact that she had been crying. Messy red hair was tied into a bun on top of her head. As much as she looked terrible she put everyone to shame with her model body. It doesn't matter that she wore a white T-shirt, tights and ughs to a bar.

Phinnie held Jess with her long black hair stressing to keep her from looking at where they were going. Stress was written all over her face. I mean what do you expect from being a guidance council at one of the snottiest school in the country. Everyone has been on her case to shorten her hair but according to her: her culture doesn't allow it.

"What happened?" Lu asked moving over so that they get a space.

Cylia slid in first next to Lu then Jess and Phinnie.

"I signed a deal with all the major supermarkets in town." Cylia responded being all giddy making everyone look at her in shock. "I am sorry I am happy today." She placed a hand on her heart faking being hurt.

"I think the question was ment for Jess." Phinnie grabbed Angie's drink before she could stop her.

"He is a monster."

"Let me guess, Jonny?" Angie spoke not moving her death glare from phinnie.

"What did he do this time." Lu asked as if they have been through this a million times.

Mark walked to the table with five drinks in a tray. He knew what each wanted. The girls have been regulars there.

"Get me something harder today." Jess pushed her drink back to him. He nodded before walking away.

"He cheated on me," they all gasped with Phinnie almost pouring her drink all over the table. "With my makeup artist."

"What!?" The four girls responded unison.

"Your make up artist as in Lenny your make up artist." Cylia asked what the rest in mind.

"Yes. Lenny. He is gay." She sobbed out.

"I knew it, I knew it, I knew it." Phinnie sang over everyone else gaining bad looks from everyone in the bar.

"I am sorry." Lu whispered to her.

"We all saw it coming. Don't look at me for saying the obvious."

"Phinnie, don't be mean."

"And Angie don't act like you weren't the first one to state it out of all us." Phinnie finished her drink and asked for another one.

Jess downed her dark liquor that was placed in front of her and ordered another one.

"You all saw it coming?" She asked after straightening her face after that hard drink.

"I mean...we mean..."

"What Lu is trying to say is that we saw all the sighs. They were there Jess you just wanted to believe in love."

"Well fuck love Angie and Lu I am officially a member of your club. The I don't believe in love club." Jess rose her refilled glass in the air.

The rest gave her a worry smiles and joined in the toast.
