"Aria, could I have a minute of your time?" Ezra spoke out.
I turned my head swiftly to look in his direction. I nodded slightly, literally unable to speak. Spencer smirked at me as she followed Emily and Hanna out of his classroom, and I strolled towards him.
He smiled softly, but then it faded.
"What's up?" I ask, acting like he was just my English teacher, nothing else. I could tell he was slightly hurt, but he carried on.
"I wanted to speak to you about your assig..."
"Really? So you don't want to speak about why you've been ignoring me. I've been literally staring at my phone, not sleeping for days just waiting to hear something from you!" I cut him off, yelling slightly. Loud enough for him to jump at my outburst, but quiet enough to ensure nobody heard me outside the classroom.
He gulped, and sat at the edge of his desk, as I sat on the desk behind me, facing him.
"I haven't been ignoring you, it's just things have been... complicated?" He said quietly, gesturing towards the door.
I nodded slightly. "Yeah..." I trailed off.
We were surrounded in a silence, but I couldn't say it was an awkward silence. The bell went for second period to start - I had history.
"I have hi..." I started, only to be cut off by Ezra.
"Can I write you a late pass?"
I hesitated for a while. A few 'um's' and 'erm's' escaped my mouth, but I ended up saying "sure,"
He took my hand, and opened the door of his classroom. Sure enough, everyone was now in class, and the hallways were silent. Too silent for Rosewood High.
"Where are we going?" I asked quietly, as Ezra still lead me down the hallway. I was scared somebody would see us, especially scared since Ezra was holding my hand, leading me somewhere.
We came to the janitors closet.
"Ezra, why the hell are we in the janitors closet?" I yelled, as he shut the door behind us. We were ridiculously close, and I could feel his minty breath on my face.
"I couldn't wait till tonight or tomorrow. I'm sorry for everything I've caused. I don't see why I've hesitated seeing you, because literally this week has been the most painful week, I'm such a jerk," he whispered, and before I could answer he smashed his lips on mine, taking my breath away.
I pulled away, both confused and angry.
"Ezra, two seconds ago, you weren't talking to me, now you're leading me into janitor closets and kissing me like nothing happened," I half yelled.
He nodded slightly, but remained silent. But as my hazel eyes stared into his deep, dazzling blue ones, I instantly excused this past week and kissed him with more hunger and desire than ever before. He immediately reacted and traced my bottom lip with his tongue, begging for entrance.
I let him in, and our tongues fought for dominance.
I walked into history class, about fifteen minutes late, and Mr.Godwinson looked slightly ticked off, but once i showed him the late pass Ezra gave me, he cooled off throughout the lesson.
History was same old same old. Our current topic was the Industrial Revolution or something, and honestly so so boring. Ezra's lessons were never boring...and no, it isnt just because i'm dating him.
"you sure?" Spencer said suddenly beside me, whispering. Oh My God.
"Shit did i just say that out loud?!" I whispered back. She nodded, and i was thanking god nobody else heard me.
Thankfully, after ten more minutes of learning about the dangers of children in factories (boring), the end of second period struck.
Hanna and Emily sat at our table in the courtyard, and they jumped up when they saw me and Spencer approaching.
Hanna bought me a tomato and cucumber sandwich, since i forgot my lunch money, and i pulled a water out of my handbag, and took a long sip.
In the corner of my eye, Ezra stood leaned against a brick slab, looking at me. I nearly choked on my water when he winked at me, which anybody in the courtyard could've seen.
"You alright there, Ar?" Emily rubbed my back, hitting it softly. I nod and wipe my mouth, but start to blush when Ezra smirked and walked back off to his classroom.
Unlucky for me, Spencer watched me like a hawk, and knew all the little gestures Ezra had made me, and gave me the wow-i-cant-believe-you look.
"What?" I shot at Spencer, and she raised an eyebrow. I just rolled my eyes and carried on eating my sandwich.
"Wait, what's going on with you two?" Hanna pointed out, and i gestured towards spencer, basically telling her she could tell. She obviously knew since my awful slip in history.
"Her and Mr.Fitz are more than just study buddies," Spencer spat, and i gave her a im-going-to-kill-you look.
"Wow, way to put it Spence," i rolled my eyes. Spencer smirked, but Hanna and Emily just stared at me, with a look of disgust in her eyes.
"What?!" Hanna said after a while.
"look..."
"Aria, you didn't sleep or eat for days after you thought he left you!"
"Han, i know, but i realised i was being so dramatic. We just needed time to think. both of us did,"
"Look, i don't care if he is your english teacher or not, and i know you love that man with every inch of your body. And if he makes you happy and you trust him, we do too," Emily said once she stopped staring at me like i had a third head.
I smiled, and i was so happy Emily approved.
"Yeah...I agree" Hanna added.
"Me too," Spencer smiled, and i invited them all in for a hug.
"I love you guys. I honestly would be so lost without you. Thank you" i whispered in the hug, and they all giggled after Spencer said 'Ew! Aria loves us!'
