Chapter Seventeen

ARIAS POV

"You're coming to the fair, right?" Hanna asks innocently, as she parked up outside my house. I nodded and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving her pink mini.

Before i could walk into my house, Hanna shouted after me.

"You have something to wear, right?"

I giggled and nodded drastically, and ran into my house, heading straight for my bedroom - thankfully, nobody was home. Of course nobody is home. I basically live here on my own - Mike is always partying with his fuckboy friends, dad is hangin' with the slut and mom is probably sat in her apartment in Pennsylvania depressed.

My family has always had it's faults. And when I first found out about my dad's affair, Ali was with me. After, I'd always thought Ali had been nice to me. Now i realise she was being the opposite. She basically threatened to tell my mom about Meredith and my dad if i didn't. And of course, I really wanted my mom to know, but i'd be afraid what it'd do to my family. we'd be ripped to shreds, and it'd be my fault. Well, now that's already happened, I couldn't really prevent anything.

I rummaged through my closet full of endless clothes. Sometimes, it'd be so full, i wouldn't have been surprised if Narnia waited for me at the back of the closet. I grabbed my outfit, which i had prepared two days earlier. It consisted of a long,white tee with shreds of a sort on the back, a simple leather jacket with studs planted on the front pocket, and ripped, black jeans. It also paired with a pair of cute black boots with a slight heel. Since it was only a fair, I decided not to go all out with my clothes.

Just then my phone started ringing. Somebody was ringing me. I glanced at the vibrating phone screen, and almost fell over to see who was calling me.

Ezra.

I answered almost immediately and smoothed down my hair, as if he was watching me.

"Hello?" I said, quietly.

"Aria," He replied. His voice itself made me shiver in a good way. "Hey,"

"Hey,"

"You already said hey," he chuckles, and i roll my eyes.

"Wrong, I actually said hello," I reply in a sarcastic manner. I could hear his adorable laugh at the end of the line.

"You're going to the fair tonight?" He asks, and i glanced at my costume.

"Yeah, i'm going with Hanna and Emily and Spence,"

Silence. At first i thought he didn't want me to go, and he would rather me spend time with him, but to be completely honest, i wouldn't mind that either.

"I could try and get out of it if you want me to come round yours?"

"What? No, no! You go have fun with your friends,"

"But i really want to see you," I pleaded, which was 100% true. Was it possible to miss someone so much even though you saw them earlier that day?

"Oh, believe me Aria, I would kill to see you, too. But i want you to go with your friends,"

I blushed violently. Even though he wasn't even talking to me face to face, this man managed to make me blush more than ever even with a simple hello over the phone.

"I gotta go," I said after a while. I could kind of feeling him nodding.

"Yeah, me too,"
