After coming home from work I find that my living room is a complete mess. Clothes everywhere, crumpled paper airplanes all over the couch and floor and it smelled like something died in here. "Royce?!" I call. I walk into my room and see him snuggled up in my bed and he was munching on something. I throw my bag down and he looks up. His mouth was stained with dried blood and I could see fingers poking out from where his head was.

They weren't his.

Clenching my fist I say, "Take you and you're corspe and get the hell out of my bed!"

"If it makes you feel any better it isn't the whole corpse," Royce sucks on a middle finger and walks past me. "Please tell me you ate it all." I glare as he makes his way toward the livingroom. "No, its in the fridge." I hear Royce say. My eyes widen and I head over to my fridge. Blood was dripping from it and I actually slip and fall.

How fucking cliché.

"Be careful it's slippery." Royce walks in and stands over top of me. I really wanted to knee him in the balls right then and there but someone knocks on the door. "I wonder who that can be." Royce begins to walk toward the door and I scramble to my feet. Jumping on his back in attempt to tackle him Royce stands stiff.

"Look I know we're supposed to be boyfriend and girlfriend but ease up on the cling." Royce bends over causing me to roll off onto the floor.

The person knocks again and this time they say, "Hey Gab, open up! I got some news! Hurry up or I'm using the key!"

Shit it was Aaron. "Ex boyfriend or something?" Royce asks heading for the door. "No dipshit, its my best friend. Go put a towel over the blood and take your snack into the bathroom." I whisper pushing Royce into the kitchen.

I quickly clean up the living room and  open the door slightly. I see Aaron and Tommy. "Heyy." I force a smile to cover up my nervousness. "Heyy? Come on open up I got some great news." Aaron says. I sigh and open the door all the way. Aaron and Tommy's eyes widen once I do. I'm guessing it was because of the big muscular man behind me.

"Babe who are your friends?" Royce asks wrapping his arm around me. I try to avoid cringing.

Aaron raises and eyebrow and looks down at me. "Babe?" He asks. Gulping I force yet again my smile, that seemed to have faded away.

"Yes, Aaron, Tommy this is Royce...my boyfriend."

The guys shake hands and Aaron squints as he does. Royce whips his hand away and shakes it. "Damn, you have a strong grip." Royce smirks.

"Comes in handy when you're breaking up fights every now and then." Aaron keeps his eyes trained on me as if expecting an explanation.

I will admit this plan wasn't so well thought out but I have to wing it from here.

"A-Aaron you had good news what was it?" I come in between Aaron and Royce who seemed to be having an intense staring contest. Plus, Tommy looked like he was about to slap Aaron for staring at anyone other than him.

Aaron drags me over to the couch and turns into a giggly school girl. "So you know how you wanna be a professional illustrator right?" Aaron asks. Ever since I was little I wanted to be an illustrator but I was so busy helping dad take care of mom it never happened. When dad died my only priority was my mom. I gave up on drawing for a while but I doodle every now and then.

"Yeah?" I reply after a few minutes. Aaron does a drum roll and Tommy stands."I got you an interview with my boss! We work with some pretty good authors and they would love your art in some of their books. Babe scrapped up some old drawings of yours from high school and I showed them to her!" Tommy says excitedly.

Before I knew it we were jumping up and down and squealing. "When's the interview?" I ask after a few minutes.

"Tomorrow so dress nice and I'll come pick you up." Tommy ruffles my hair and we begin jumping and squeaking.

"If I didn't know better I'd say you all are auditioning for an anime school girl show." Royce says from the corner. Aaron glares at him and drags me to my room.

"Alright what's really going on?" He crosses his arms and blocks the door so I don't run. I guess I should tell him.

"Okay...the truth is..."

Aaron waits for my answer while impatiently tapping his foot.

"Royce isn't from here. I met him a few months ago at the train station and he seemed pretty nice. We went out but he moved back to his home town and that's why I was so depressed. But he's back now and he decided he wanted to be more serious so we moved in together." I lie. I try to make it believable but its like Aaron can see right through me. Even if he doesn't say anything I know he knows I'm lying.

"Uh huh, and was he this rude before?"

"Sorry I'll talk to him about that he gets jealous if he doesn't receive enough attention."

"Gab, you aren't lying are you?"

Yes.

"No of course not, you're my best friend Aaron . I'll talk to Royce please don't worry." I smile reassuringly and Aaron looks down at me skeptically. He sighs however and opens the door.

Its gonna be pretty hard keeping this a secret especially from Aaron who is like an A class detective but I'm sure I'll manage. I gotta keep Royce under control as well or they'll become even more suspicious. Dammit what have I gotten myself into?
