"Hey." I said completely surprised with a smile on my face.

"Hey Erica." Bruno said walking in and hugging me tightly.

"What are you doing here?" I asked trying to pretend to be cool with him seeing me in my Batman pajamas after he let go.

"I was in the neighborhood." he said casually.

"You just happened to be in the neighborhood?" I asked skeptically. He shrugged and smiled at me.

"You have something right there." he pointed out. My attention was pointed to my hair that still had feathers in it. I chuckled. I guided him to join us inside.

"Bruno, this my best friend Lena. Lena this is-" but I was interrupted.

"Bruno Mars. I can't believe it!" she said excitedly. "Erica and I jam to your music all the time. Especially when were college freshmen." she told him.

"Oh really?" he said smugly. I blushed at her words and looked away.

"Oh come on Lena." I said not wanting to admit it was true.

"Sure we did. Especially Erica." she continued. "What was that thing you said?" she asked already knowing the answer. "Weren't you going to marry him?" Lena said raising an eyebrow.

"Shut up Lena!" I said throwing a pillow again. I looked over at Bruno who was grinning like a Cheshire Cat. "That was a long time ago." I said clearing my throat.  "Back to my previous question." I said changing the subject. "What are you doing in New York?" I asked.

"I'm actually the musical guest on Saturday Night Live tomorrow night, but I thought I might get here a day before and say hello to my favorite New Yorker." he explained.

"That sounds amazing." Lena said.

"Forgive her fan girl moments." I told. Bruno and she playfully nudged me. he laughed at our banter.

"You should come and watch. Emily Blunt is hosting and we could hit the town afterwards" he told us.

"Sure, as long as I can bring Lena with me." I accepted his invitation and turned to see her expression. She was grinning from ear to ear.

"Of course. The more, the merrier." he said. " I should get back to the fellas." he said. Bruno gave me one last hug goodbye and made his exit.

Later that night, Lena and I were picking out something to wear the next night. Lena had decided on sporting blue jeans with a long sleeved white shirt and a thin infinity scarf.

"I can't believe it. You actually got an invite by Bruno Mars himself." she said gushing.

"He invited the both of us." I corrected her as I sorted through my closet and finding my favorite baseball tee.

"No, I'm just getting the spillover. He wanted you to go." she argued. I paused. She had a pretty good point. "Don't get me wrong." she continued. "I'm okay with it, but it seems like he was directing this invite more towards you." she assured me. I was sure Lena was wrong about Bruno, but her words couldn't help but kind of stick to the back of my mind. Bruno knew that I have a boyfriend. I told him so when we met and he doesn't seem like the type to try to steal a taken girl.
