Ivory James

Only the slightest buzzing sound at the very end of the hallway was heard. The library wasn't a completely silent place just as I thought or expected. That single buzzing noise was keeping me from concentrating.

I sat alone at an empty table, staring straight forward at the halfway dark hallway. The other half consisted of a flickering light that was about fall from the ceiling the longer to hung there.

I felt dead inside, knowing i'd never get my Louis back, although I tried so hard to convince myself I would. He was the only light I had in my heart and soul, without him I was nothing but a skanky whore with no family or friends.

Without him I was.. nothing.

"Ma'am," I wasn't completely alone, I meant I was the only consumer— or whatever, "We're closing, you're going to have to leave."

I had spent the past few days being avoided by Louis. Harry wouldn't even speak to me, which also added the heart break. So I'd come here every night and try to live in my very own fantasy world.

"Alright," I let out a very intense yawn, and rubbed my baggy eyes. I placed the book I had been reading on the rack, then slowly walked out of the library.

Where are you?

I received a text from Louis.

The library, I'm coming home

I placed my phone back into my skinny jean pocket, and drove home. A place that I couldn't be myself, not with Louis around.

As I drove down the dark roads, stopping at the stop lights when it was necessary. I just couldn't help but realize I was depressed. I missed that cute boy who would risk everything, just to he in my presence. I had to realize that boy was long gone. And I was alone in this world.

I shoved my medal key into the door handle, turning it and pushing myself forward. Just as expected the entire house was dark, only the smallest kitchen light coming from the stove was seen.

I finally turned a light on and placed my bag on top of the counter. Letting out an obnoxious sigh. I slammed my head against the granite and began crying. Having every right in the world to make such a commotion.

"Ivory?" He had finally spoke real words to me. I wiped away my tears, and looked slowly into his eyes. He stood with teased hair, wearing blue pajamas.

"I'm fine."

"I've realized something Ivory James," He took a step towards me, "I've been avoiding the one person who has helped me through all of this. I thought something would hit me if I ignored you, but I need to remember you. Because no matter what, I'm your boyfriend."

"Why would you do that to me Louis?" I said in a monotone, "Do you know how depressed I've been lately? It doesn't help when you avoid me like that!"

"I'm sorry. You've got to believe me," He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him, "We're family Ives, and we've got to stick together. I was just mad. That's all."

I didn't respond, I looked sadly down at my feet, "Please babe. I'm still in so much pain from that accident, I'm surprised I'm no dead!" I finally looked him directly in the eye, hoping he'd remembered something, "Would you like to come watch me play football tomorrow?"
