Hajime's POV

Who is this? I was already scared... but then another guy comes by. He's probably just gonna hit me like the others. He was staring at me as if he just saw his life flash before his eyes. I was still shaking and crying as I looked up at the other boy, revealing my new bruises and scars. He gasped sharply before covering his mouth.

"H-Hajime... w-what happened to you..?" Hajime... was that my name? It was, I think... whatever. I looked at the other boy. I was still shaken up as he stared at my bruises. I wanted him to stop staring, but I wasn't going to confront him. Who knows what he was going to do? I'm so scared...

Nagito's POV

I stared at Hajime, who had the most heartbreaking look in his eyes. He was absolutely terrified. His bottom lip quivered as his body did the same. I reached out to touch the scars on his face, but he flinched and pulled away.

"What's wrong, Hajime..?" He gave me a confused look. "W-Who's... Hajime...?" I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces. He didn't remember anything. Not even his own name. He... didn't remember me... I felt like I was going to breakdown right there, but Hajime beat me to it.

Out of nowhere, he burst into tears as he mumbled incoherently to himself. I knew something was really wrong. Hajime NEVER cried. Especially not in front of other people. I reached out my hand to touch his face, but he flinched once again.

"Who are you...? Wh-who am I? Where did I come from!? Why can't I remember anything!?" He was yelling now. I touched his chin, carefully and lifted his face so his eyes met mine.

"I'll explain everything. Just, please, come with me." I knew that was a lot to ask of him right now, considering his physical and mental state of being. But, to my surprise, he nodded and stood up. He staggered and fell back down. My gaze fell to his legs. They were all bruised and cut. Some cuts were deeper than others, but there was one that stood out. It went all the way down the front of his left leg. And it was deep. If it the weapon went any further you could've seen bone.

I covered my mouth to muffle the gasp that escape my mouth as I looked toward Hajime's face. He was crying as he tried to stand again. I see that his personality hasn't changed. Persistent, as always.

I picked him up and out him on my back. He pulled back a bit when I reached for him but relaxed a bit afterwards, although he still kept his guard up. As I started walking, I pulled out my phone and texted a few friends, telling them to come over.

If I was going to fill Hajime in, we needed more people.
