Mystery Behind Love

Chapter 3

      Draco was sleeping on my lap as I researched.  I needed information on what was happening.  I had asked Ron's mother about there ancestors but there was nothing off.  I was getting super frustrated over this.  I sighed and looked at Draco's perfect features.  I never thought I would fall for him, yet here I was in love.  He didn't know though, he never would.

      I looked at the clock and saw it was almost midnight.  I had to finish my research though.  I yawned when I heard a knock on the door.  I looked at the sleeping Draco and sighed.  "Who is it?"  I heard shuffling before an answer.  "Harry."  I sighed and gently moved Draco's head.  I opened the portrait and let Harry in putting Draco's head back down on my lap.  "What's up?"  He looked at all the paper and books before sitting on the floor next to me.  "Can't sleep ether?"  I shook my head and looked at everything.  "There isn't anything similar to this.  I even checked the restricted area."  I sighed and glanced at Draco.  "You to are great together."  I looked up at him and cocked my head to the side.  "What?"  He chuckled and pointed at Draco.  "You guys are cute together.  He does like you."  I looked at Draco and shook my head.  "It'll never happen Harry." 

      "You should head back to your dorm, it's almost five."  Harry nodded his head and stood up.  "Night Mione."  I nodded my head at him and watched as he left.  Christmas was two weeks away and I want to help my friend.  No I had to help him.  He was stupid and selfish but he was still my friend.  I leaned against the couch and sighed.  I needed sleep.  With that I passed out.

     I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs in my nose.  When  I tried to open my eyes I saw grey ones staring at me.  "Hey Draco."  He smiled at me and held a plate of food out to me.  I smiled at him and nodded my head in thanks.  "What time is it?"  He looked behind us and looked back at me.  "Around nine."  I nodded my head and stood up.  "I'm heading to the library."  With that I left.

     I was in the middle of a book when I hissed in pain.  My arm was aching.  I pulled my sleeve up to see the words Mudblood bleeding.  I gasped and stood up.  The owner who gave this to me was dead so why was it hurting now?  I quickly walked out of the library and toward my dorm clutching my arm.  

     When I got into my dorm I quickly ran to the bathroom and grabbed some gauge.  As I was wrapping it I felt someone behind me.  "What happened?"  I turned around and looked at Draco.  "I don't know."  He nodded his head and helped me wrap the gauge on it.  I walked out of the bathroom and into the seating room.  I sat on the couch and felt strong arms wrap around me.  "What happened?"  I shrugged my shoulders and continued to think.

     "I got it!"  I quickly ran out of my room and straight for the portrait.  "Got what?"  I could hear Draco's voice behind me but brushed it off.  I ran into the gryffindor dorm room leaving the door opened and yelled for Ginny and Harry.  They came storming down the stairs and looked at me fearfully.  "What did Malfoy do!?"  I looked at them confused right then.  "Wow thanks guys for the trust.  I don't know whats going on ether though."  I turned around to see Draco behind me with his hands in his pockets.  

      "I found out what is wrong with Ron!"  Everyone stared at me dumbstruck and I pulled the book I was reading out.  "He was cursed during the war, it just didn't show until now."  I continued my explanation from there.  "He is also having memories, flashbacks and they are reacting badly toward him.  Causing him to have these weird episodes."  Everyone's mouths were hanging open as they stared at me.  Draco came from behind me and put his head on my shoulder.  "But how?"  I looked at Ginny as she stared at me questionably.  "That is what I don't know."

      I sat in the Hospital wing in front of Ron.  I came to see him to get information but the nurse says he's been asleep for two days now.  I sighed and leaned back in my chair.  Now what?  "You should go to sleep."  I turned around to see Draco walking toward me.  "You know I can't without getting answers."  He nodded his head and sat next to me.  "I know but you should still rest."  I yawned and nodded my head.  "Draco, I'm worried."  He looked at me skeptically.  "Why?"  I looked at my bandaged arm then back to Ron.  "What if he comes after one of us?"  Draco wrapped an arm around me and sighed.  "I don't know."

      I woke up to another burning sensation on my arm.  When I looked at it I saw that blood had seeped through.  How was the question though.  The words Mudblood were clearly seen in blood through the gauge and I began to worry.  When I looked out the window I saw her.  Bellatrix Lestrange.  I gasped and clutched Draco's arm.  He woke up and saw the fear on my face.  When he looked out the window though he quickly reached for his wand.  "Shhh."  She shushed him and held up a sleeping baby.  I gasped and was about to stand up when Draco stopped me.  I then heard her laughter before she was gone.
