"Granger, we need to talk."  I was sitting on the couch reading a book when Malfoy came in covered in snow.  I didn't have any classes outside today so lucky me I didn't get covered in snow.  It was Friday and after today we got our break for the Christmas season.  "Ok, what do you want to talk about?"  He came and sat next to me trying to get warm.  "Where are you going for the break?"  I stared at the fire thinking.  "Nowhere."  He looked at my face, I could feel his stare even though I was looking at the fire.  "Why?"  I pulled my bookmark from under my book and stared at the picture of me with my parents.  "Even though they were muggles, they were my parents, so he killed them."  Tears streamed down my cheeks at the memory.  I missed them so much.

Draco pulled me into a hug and I cried as he held me.  "I'm sorry."  I shook my head at this and looked at him.  "You aren't the one that killed them."  He smiled at me and pulled me back into his embrace.  "I'm staying here for the break."  I wanted to answer his question still.  "Lets go for a walk."  I nodded my head and we left our dorm dressed in our warm clothes.

"What did you want to talk about?"  I  put my hands in my coat pocket and watched as the snow fell around us.  "I was just going to complain about the snow but saw you weren't packed for vacation and got sidetracked."  I looked at him surprised.  "Draco Malfoy, sidetracked?  What has the world come to?"  He threw snow at me and we began laughing.  "Hey, I was concerned alright?"  I nodded my head and saw Ginny, Ron, and Harry having a snow ball fight below us.  "Want to join them?"  I looked at Malfoy as he asked the question.  I shook my head.  "No I enjoy it better up here."  He nodded and we stood there in a comfortable silence.

When dinner came around, we quickly rushed inside to get warm and to eat something.  We of course sat at separate tables still though.  "Hermione, you were outside?"  I looked at Ron and nodded my head.  "Yea I was watching you guys play in the snow."  They nodded there heads and had a silent conversation.  While they talked I went back to thinking of Malfoy.  Was I falling for him?  I couldn't I mean, he's a Malfoy and I'm just, Granger.  I sighed and stood up.  "I'm not hungry so I'm just going to head back to my dorm."  Without waiting for a reply I walked back to my dorm tears streaming down my face.

When I entered the dorm room I fell on the couch in a fit of tears.  It was the day my parents died today.  I missed them so and it didn't help that my emotions were askew.  I continued to cry into the pillow not hearing the portrait open and close.  I felt a big hand brush my hair and lifted my head up.  "Malfoy?"  My voice was cracked and it sounded old from it being dry.  "I saw you leave and decided to fallow.  Are you ok?"  I shook my head no and sat up to let him sit down.  He wrapped his arm around me and I leaned into him.  "What's wrong?"  I told him everything except the part about falling for him.  I didn't want him to know about that.

"Wow."  I nodded my head in his chest and felt guilty for ruining his shirt.  "I'm sorry Granger."  I just shrugged my shoulders and watched the fire place.  "You should go back and eat.  I'll be fine."  I tried to pull away when Malfoy pulled me back to him.  "Nah, I'm comfortable here."

I heard a constant banging noise on the wall and sat up.  What was going on?  Me and Malfoy had fallen asleep and were curled up on the couch together.  Yep, I guess I'm falling for him.  I wasn't supposed to though.  I mean a mud-blood with a pure-blood didn't exactly fit.  I walked up to the portrait and opened it.  All my friends were there and all began asking questions at once.  "One at a time please my head hurts."  Ron as usual went first.  "Did he hurt you?"  I gave him a questioning look.  "What?"  He shook his head at me.  "Did Malfoy hurt you?"  I shook my head.  "No of course not!"  They all sighed suddenly and left.  What was that about?  "Granger what's going on?"  I turned to Malfoy and shurgged.  "No clue."  I walked back to him and fell back to sleep comfortably.

I woke up the next morning to more banging.  It was getting annoying.  I opened the door and gasped.  "What's going on?"  Ron rushed in pale as ever and began crying in a corner.  "Ron?"  Malfoy woke up then and propped an arm on the couch to lift himself up.  "What is he doing?"  I shrugged my shoulders and slowly approached him.  "Ron are you alright?"  He then began crying.  "Ron!"  I ran up to him and knelt down.  "What happened?"  He began stuttering so badly it was hard to understand.  "I...I...She...Dead!"  More tears streamed down his face and I looked at Malfoy.  "Draco we need Harry."  He nodded his head and I turned back to Ron.  "Draco huh?"  I tried calming Ron.  "Harry please!"  I heard the portrait close and sighed.

Draco walked into the room with Harry tailing him.  "What happened?"  I shrugged my shoulders and stood up.  "I woke up to him knocking.  So when I opened the portrait he ran in the room like this.  "Harry..."  That was all we got from him before he passed out.  "He needs to get to a nurse."  I nodded my head and looked at Malfoy.  "Help Harry carry Ron, I'll get the nurse."  He nodded his head and we parted ways.

I was concerned for my friend.  It wasn't everyday he got all weird on you.  I sighed as I sat with Draco by Ron's bed.  Harry was talking to a nurse at the time.  As I leaned back in my chair a bunch of people came in carrying a girl.  "Quickly!"  Everyone began rushing when we heard a scream.  Well more like two screams.  One from Ron and one from the girl.  Ron broke down in tears pointing at her while she began to shake and run away from him.  What happened?

Draco came back with a shocked face.  "Apparently they found her laying on the floor bleeding out."  I stared awestruck.  I looked back at Ron and sighed.  "Ron what did you do?"  He broke down in tears again and Ginny shushed him.  She had gotten here an hour ago to help calm him down.  "It wasn't me, it was him."  I looked at him confused.  Would this be another exiting adventure for us?
