Mystery Behind Love

Chapter 4

      I sighed as I sat on the couch.  What happened to Harry?  We were supposed to meet in the library an hour ago and still nothing.  I sighed as I stood up to leave when I heard screaming and someone casting hexes.   I ran out of the library to see Draco running toward me.  "Run!"  What was behind him though scared me.  Before I had time to question it Draco grabbed my hand and he kissed me.  Time seemed to stop then and there.  I kissed him back and everything around us seemed to freeze.  

      "What!?"  We broke apart and I saw Ron in tears beside Bellatrix.  She had a rage going on and looked down at Ron.  "Well then I guess he isn't needed anymore."  Before she could do anything though someone shouted the killing curse at her.  When she fell down and became oblivion I saw McGonagall behind her smiling.  "I've always wanted to do that."  I smiled at her and ran to Ron.  "Why?"  I knelt next to him and he broke out in tears.  "Ron?"  He sniffed his nose and looked up at me.  "Why did you choose the ferret over me?"  I glanced at Draco and looked back at Ron.  "Because Ron, I fell in love."  He looked up at me and smiled.  "That's all I needed to hear."  With that Ron became ash and crumpled before me.  I broke out in tears as Harry knelt beside me and Draco hugged me.  He was really gone.

      The year was ending and I was ready for no more school.  I would get a job and live a happy life.  Draco came up to me as I stared into the pond in front of me.  "What are you thinking about?"  I sighed and turned around.  "Everything I guess.  It's finally over, our adventures."  He smiled at me and gave a quick peck on the lips.  "I guess so."  

      As we walked into the  great hall everyone stared at us seventh years.  We all sat down at our designated tables and waited for the celebration of the year ending.  "Now seventh years.  This was never going to happen but we all agreed to it."  Whispers broke out around the room.  "Silence!  We have decided to pair some of you up with someone to marry."  Everyone gasped and I cast a glance at Draco.  What if we weren't together?  "First off Harry Potter!"  Everyone clapped as he stood up.  He made a quick glance at Ginny and looked back to McGonagall.  "You will be paired with Ginny Weasley!"  Everyone clapped as they sat back down smiling.  After five more pairs it finally happened.  "Hermione Granger!"  I stood up nervously and sighed.  What if it wasn't with Draco?  "You will be paired with Draco Malfoy!"  I sat back down with a big smile on my face.  

      When it was finally over one more announcement was made.  "Those who got paired have already been given a house and will be riding the train to certain stops.  Your instructions are in your bedrooms.  Goodnight and thank you for being a student at Hogwarts!"  Everyone clapped as the seventh years left to pack for the morning.   

      I walked into my room and began to pack.  I was ready to leave, get a job and live happily.  I heard a knock on my door and called for them to come in.  I folded my shirt and looked up to see Draco walk in with a smile on his face.  "Hey."  I waved at him as he came up to me.  "Look at this."  He handed me a paper and I gasped.  The house was gorgeous.  "Is this..."  He wrapped his arms around me and turned me to face him.  "Yea it is."  I looked at the key on my dresser then back to the house.  "Thank you."  He tilted his head at me.  "For what?"  I looked down at the paper.  "Asking for a second chance."  I looked back up at him and smiled.

      As I walked into the train I sighed at the thought of never coming here again.  I found my friends and sat by them.  Ginny and Harry were talking about the house while I sat alone looking at the window.  "Stop looking lonely it makes me feel bad."  I turned toward Draco and smiled.  "Then stop walking away."  He chuckled at me and I looked toward my friends.  They were still talking about there house and new life together.  I guess everything changed for the better.  I thought of Ron and sighed.  

      I woke up to Harry shaking me.  I blinked and saw Draco asleep on my shoulder.  I smiled at him and looked back at Harry.  "This is our stop."  I nodded and said goodbye.  I looked at the paper in Draco's hands and saw our stop was next.  I stretched and sat up.  Draco yawned and positioned himself into a more comfortable position.  

      When we got to our stop I shook Draco awake and stood up.  "What's going on?"  I chuckled and pointed at the paper.  "This is our stop."  He made an o face and I just laughed.  I grabbed my bag and began walking to the exit.  "Wait for me!"  Draco ran after me as I mocked him by swinging the key on my finger.  "Why should I?"  I walked out of the train and laughed and Draco's petty attempt to fallow.  "Because you love me."  With that he kissed me on the lips and left me there dazed.  "Draco!"  He laughed at me as I chased after him.  We stopped outside the train stop and looked at the image of the house.  "Ready?"  He nodded his head and we apperated to our new house.
