Chapter 9

Eren's P.O.V

"Tell me.. What happened!?"

"S-sir! Please let go you're hurting me," the short girl said trying to release from my grip. I only tightened it, I wasn't planning on letting her go until she gave me some answers. "Eren, let go!" Armin said shaking my hand off the shorty. "Are you okay?" He questioned in his usual calm voice. The girl nodded shyly. "We don't have time to waste, danm it! Just tell us what the hell happened!" I shouted. "Eren, don't shout!" Armin scolded and glared at me, then gave the girl a sympathetic smile. "It was probably her first time seeing a titan, say, what is your name?" The girl was silent for what seemed forever until she finally spoke. "H-hai, I was only a graduate when I was assigned my first mission with the scouting legion. My name is Charley." She spoke quietly, still shaking. I sighed. "You're right," I said capturing everyone's attention. "It was very rude of me, but someone that I really care about is out there. Somewhere, out there, she needs my help; and I'll do anything to save her!" I exclaimed, catching my breath. "She--" suddenly out of no where comes a 10 meter titan and grabs Charley. "Ahhhh! H-help!" She struggled against the titan's hold. Eren charged for the titan but soon heard a blonde's cries for help. "Armin!" I ran towards his direction. The structure had collapsed on top of him and most likely broke his legs. I came close and tried to help Armin free but it was no use. 'No, Armin no! Not you too!' I thought as Tears, along with sweat, ran down my face. My knuckles where turning white, and Mikasa was busy keeping the titans away. "I.. I will s-set.. You free and.. Rescue C-charley!" I said through greeted teeth. "Eren save Charley!" I froze. I stared at Armin, courage and determination were evident on his face. I could only nod and run as I faced away from what could possibly be my best friend's death. Tears rolled down my face along with blood, why couldn't I turn into a titan and protect everyone. When I got to Charley it was too late, the titan had devoured her upper body. "You!" I said blood eroding with anger. "I will kill every single one of you!" And with that said I charged straight at the titan. Blood and sweat dropped along the air as time seemed to pass by slowly. Soon, the titan collapsed dead on the floor; red rained from the sky as Mikasa battled off the titans. My only source of knowing what happened to Annie was gone, and thanks to me all my friends are dying. If only none of this would of happened. Thump. Thump. The titan's footsteps where getting louder and louder. I remained on the ground on my knees, in between all this, I laid there helplessly. More titans where approaching, we where surrounded.

A/N: okay that wasn't as bad as I thought. I wanted to get some major feels by killing off someone but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I hate adding characters but I didn't want to kill anyone, I'm weak guys. ╥﹏╥ but any who I hope you enjoyed this short chapter. (Hey it was short but i updated on time, aren't you proud) The next one will be longer and possibly the last. I am still figuring some stuff out :3 have a nice day/night!
