"Theodosia!' a man called.

Theodosia was now turning 16, and even more beautiful. She looked more and more like her mother each day. Sadly though, her mother died 5 years prior due to an unknown illness. With Theodosia Sr death, came Burr's empty heart. He put all his energy to give his daughter, and tried to raise her right. He had promised to Joseph Alston, a South Carolina politician, who Theodosia adored. Burr had teach her perfect posture, how to read, how to sew, and more. It was her birthday. She woke up with her hair a mess. Opening her eyes, she saw the silhouette of a man. Her eyes settle to see Joseph, who was standing over her with a serious face. He was not much fun, but he was a gentleman. He was what Burr wanted, so marrying him was what Theodosia wanted.

"Theodosia Burr," Alston stated with no expression.
"Yes, my dearest, Joseph," Theodosia yawned.

"I am leaving for South Carolina. Get up and say good bye," he rolled his eyes.

Theodosia got out of her bed, then hugged him kissing his cheek. "Good bye, my love."

He left the room and Theodosia sighed. Her mind filled with thoughts Does he truly love me? Or is it just an act as well? Why do I feel like I am missing something in life? Who was I meant to be with? Where is Angelica Church Hamilton when I need her most? There was a tap on her window. She bolted like lightning striking the Earth. She flung her window open to see a tall girl with loose brown curls standing there. Angelica Church Hamilton was Alexander's eldest daughter and Theodosia's closest friend. Theodosia was an only child, so Angelica Church was lie her sister. Alexander and Aaron did not know of their friendship. They snuck out to see each other everyday. Angelica climbed in the window, and fell in her head hitting the bedroom floor. Theodosia giggled and picked her up. Angelica dusted herself off with a goofy grin on her face. Theodosia immediately hugged her crushing her fragile body. When she let go, Angelica dropped to the floor gasping for air. Theodosia went to shut the door, but stopped hearing her betrothed and father talking about her. Angelica stood by her, gently putting her hand on her back. Joseph was complaining about Theodosia's childish like behavior, and her not wanting to mother a child. Theodosia listened gripping the door frame tight, thinking how she is a failure. Angelica seeing the pain in her eyes yanked her back, and slammed the door.

"Do not listen to them. They are all idiots. You are amazing. Now get ready, because tonight we are going drinking with my brother and his friends," Angelica smiled at her.

"I do not drink," Theodosia lied.
"And I am in love with Joseph Alston," she teased moving to the closest, browsing her gowns, "Philip has turned into a masterful whore. Be careful in your frocks, he just may make you strip down to your socks."

"I loved him when he was 10. I have no feelings for that sad, poor excuse of a man," Theodosia swishing around her nightgown going over to her friend, "Plus I am to be married."
Angelica rolled her eyes and pulled out a purple lace gown, "What is this?"
Theodosia blushed, "It was a present from Georges de Lafayette."

"You are wearing this tonight, no buts," Angelica staring at the gown.

"Fine,"Theodosia sighed.

The night Angelica helped Theodosia get ready. Smoothing out the wrinkles slowly, while Theodosia combed out her long and silky black hair. Angelica put her hair up, two strands of hair resisted, and crept down her shoulders. Angelica kept them there, unwillingly to fight it. Theodosia put a dark red lipstick on her soft plump lips. Angelica smiled, then proceeded to help her out the window. My father is going to kill me. Why am I here? I need to go back inside. I need to marry Mr. Alston and change. She quickly turned around and tried to climb back through the window, but Angelica turned her back around.

"Look. You are going to have fun," Angelica scolded.

"Please. I just can not," Theodosia pleaded.

"Please just come. George Eacker is coming as well. I can not be left alone to fend for myself. My dearest, Theodosia," putting her hands on Theodosia's cheeks, "Just come."

"Angelica..." Theodosia frowned

"Do you love me?" Angelica questioned removing her hands.

"Like a sister," Theodosia put her hands on her shoulder.

"If you love me, you will support me. Maybe we are not friends!" Angelica turned around and started to walk away.

Angelica knew she that would force her to come. Theodosia ran over, and grabs her hand. She had an uneasy feeling about going, and she held cross necklace that her dear Joseph had given her. Angelica knew she was more worried to see Philip, then going cause deep down they loved each other. Her brother and her best friend  had hid their feelings. She hoped she was right. This could end the Hamilton and Burr feud for good. Angelica could see her best friend whenever she wanted. Theodosia just walked to the bar frozen, even though it was June. She mumbled to herself, and as they walked in she looked around.

"See Philip?" Angelica hinted.

Theodosia met eyes with Philip Hamilton. Her cheeks flushed red.

"Yes," she smiled.
