The Voice of a Poltergeist

What curse have I begun to feel?
The soft dark words that fill my ear
Have turned against me
I can't hear.
Any time I close my eyes,
I stare at every thought of you.
Please help me,
For I've lost my way,
All I want is you
Please stay.
A horrifying dream awaits,
Could you save me from that storm?
Hold me in your soft embrace,
How many more fears will I face?
Sick and sleep deprived-
That's me-
Have you ever seen such truth
That lies upon your fragile eyes?
I don't need who I can be,
Because of who I am to you.
You take away my greatest fears
You help me through
I wish I could return the favor
But, alas, I don't know what you fear.
Sleep softly on a velvet cheek,
And let me come to you in jest
I sing to you within your dream
I am the swelling in your chest,
A voice of lust and love at once
And I just want to gain your pride
Please tell me,
What lies inside?
