Sometimes things just don't work out.
I held my breath,
While you faced every doubt
But still
You and I just couldn't
Work ourselves out.
We twisted and we jerked about
A chain of solid crystal
And the loudest screms were of my mouth
Because you never listened.
Exemplary and solemn shouts
Reach up about the colemns of
An unfathomable tower
Of emotional attachment
And still
We couldn't work things out.
Between us there were many things
Words and touches,
Diamond rings
But all is drifting in the sea,
Because you couldn't work it out
For me.
