Brooklyn's POV

The walk home was exhausting and nobody wanted to take you home, due to their busy schedules. It was about 4:00pm when you got home, and you silently cursed Taehyung for ditching you.

Hoseok: Hey! Sorry I've been so busy...

Brooklyn: No, it's okay. I've been kind of down here lately so I haven't talked to anyone.

Hoseok: oh no! What's wrong?

Brooklyn: it's nothing, really. Don't worry about me.

Hoseok: look. You're my friend, and I care for you. Now what happened? Who do I have to fight :|

Brooklyn: okay... so you know that Taehyung guy, the one I skipped school with?

Hoseok: yeah, and?

Brooklyn: he has a girlfriend now... and to be honest... I started having feelings for him.

Hoseok: oh. Well. Don't worry about him! There are other guys out there that will treat you better.

Brooklyn: you think?

Hoseok: yes! Of course...

Brooklyn: okay well thank you. I have to go though and do homework. Bye!

Hoseok: bye and good luck. Fighting!~

Hoseok's POV

I can't believe that she's stressing over him... she's so pulchritudinous and she can literally get anyone she wants. Why is she so pressed over him. Ugh. I want to talk to her more so we can get closer but I have no clue how... maybe Jin knows how. I mean, he's in a relationship with a girl named Ashley and they've been dating for two years now. If he can do it, can't I?

Taehyung's POV

"Hey Scarlett, do you wanna go hiking or anything," I ask, vaguely. "Ew, no. It's nasty and too much work. Why don't we just stay here and make out," she retorts. Brooklyn would want to go hiking and just have fun... but why am I comparing the two? They're completely different and there's no way that Scarlett is my type. But why am I with her? To make Brooklyn jealous? To fill that empty void in my heart? I don't know, but what I do know is that I HAVE to talk to Brooklyn. "Okay, no. Let's not. How about I drop you off at home. I have things to do," I spit back towards her. As she rolls her eyes, I take her outside and get in the car. There are no words exchanged as I drive her home, thank God. Immediately after, I speed to Brooklyn's.

A bit dubious, I reach my hand up to her door to knock. "Brooklyn! Open up, please! I need to talk to you," I yell towards the house. 3 minutes later and nothing. Taking out my phone, I hover over her name on my contact list and decide to call her. Yet again, nothing. Maybe she's not home... I ditched her when she needed a ride today. Why, why did I do that? Shit... I need to apologize and speak with her. I can't do it tomorrow cause I might be too late. Looking around her house, I try and find a way in. The back door is slightly ajar, and I sneak through. "Brooklyn," I call out, a bit quieter. "Yeah, that sounds fun! I'll see you soon, yeah?" You hear a monotone voice say. Who in the hell? As you near her room, you see her door is cracked and she is on FaceTime with a guy I've never seen before. You tried to apprehend what exactly was going on, but your brain couldn't process it. Is she seeing him now since I've been with Scarlett? Regardless, I'm talking to her. Resting your knuckles on her door, you knock twice and ask if you could come in. Obviously startling her, she jumps and tells whoever that is that she has to go. "Taehyung?! What are you doing here. I didn't hear you," she whispers. "Yeah. I knocked on the front door and even tried calling you. You didn't hear that," you question. "No... and plus I was busy with homework," she lies through her teeth. "Homework? FaceTiming a guy is homework?! What the hell, Brooklyn," you couldn't help but yell at her. "Why are you getting so mad! Don't you have Scarlett to be messing with," she yells back. Ouch, that hurt. Fighting fire with fire, I suppose. "No because I don't even like her! I like you, for fucks sake. Couldn't you tell? I've liked you for such a long time now and you couldn't tell? Are you that blind." Oh man, holy shit. I did not mean to say that. She looks hurt, and it was obvious that she didn't want me there anymore. "I like you too... but now that you say that. Just leave. Please," she said while tears formed in her eyes. Nodding my head, I take my stuff and make my way down the stairs. Great, I made things way worse than I intended. I'll need to make it up to her somehow.
